Singer , songwriter , producer and remixer Ellis Miah has collaborated on hits for artists like BTS , Jennifer Lopez, Sia, Backstreet Boys, Christina Aguilera, Miley Cyrus, Big Freedia, Annie Lennox, Loleatta Holloway, Yoko Ono and Siedah Garrett, to name a few that make up his eclectic discography.
With the viral hit of summer 2024, Shoes, More Shoes with Nicola Coughlan reaching over 8 million views on social media, working with the likes of RuPaul and having his music feature on Sex and the city, we know a lot about his music but not so much about the man.
This all changes as Shades of Gay returns, exploring Ellis Miah's childhood, through to his first development deal at the age of 12, bodegas and billboard hits.
In this episode we finally find out about the man behind the music.
Enjoy.

First of all, thank you so much to Phil, our guest, who re- consented to allow this episode to be broadcast.
This show has been syndicated but is was recorded for the Thirsty Bitch Podcast in 2021 - If you are listening from another podcast you can find Thirsty Bitch Podcast Here or search Thirsty Bitch Podcast from where ever you get your Podcasts.
For legal, personal, and to be sensitive and protective to the guest and others mentioned within the podcast, this episode has been heavily edited from the original.
As you maybe aware, its been many months since the last Thirsty Bitch Podcast.
The one you are about to listen to was shelved. We thought it was inappropriate to bring you the episode, mainly due to the fact that our guest was in a very troubled place at the time and also felt it to be morally wrong in the moment. There was no happy ending in sight for our guest, at the time of recording, and felt it would feel exploitative for 'entertainment purpose' and possibly be more detrimental to Phil.
It's been two years since the episode was recorded and only now, seeing the changes with our Guest, did I, Keyth David @keythdavid, think the story should be told.
In a climate of increasing mental health issues, depression and personal desperations, it's very easy to isolate yourself and end up in a worse place.
If you are going through something right now, I really hope this will help you reach out or take some kind of comfort in the fact that you are not alone.
Whether this is Grief, PTSD, Depression or been apart of the Chemsex world then I have included a list of places that you can find help. This could be via phone, email, webchat or SMS.
If you would like to reach out to Phil then why not drop him a nice DM on Instagram theonlyphilrideruk

More recently Stuart has received a lot of attention, after COVID prompted him to scan all these photos and create social media profiles documenting that forgotten era.. from bars to clubs to Prides and becoming best friends with porn Director William Higgins (RIP). This was the party immediately after the AIDS epidemic and before Queer as Folk.
Talking all things Northern, Porn director William Higgins and his very successful Linden Archives showing what life was in the era of Party and the recovery of the decimated gay scene from THE Virus.
