Two allied nations dueling over a city, a hidden revenge story, a forbidden romance, and a look-alike man dealing with it all. In the latest film by the great Zhang Yimou, we have breathtaking visuals and camera work, as well as incredible martial arts showcased. What the story may lack in a few performances does make up for in an interesting plot and dynamic fights. In order to take back the city he calls home, Jingzhou must become a shadow to everyone else around him.
