Ben Hans is a Nashville based musician and music instructor who keeps a busy performance schedule performing many genres of music. Ben performs as a freelance artist, who cut his teeth performing under the tutelage of Jazz Guitarist Jack Grassel and the late Swing Clarinetist Chuck Hedges.

Ben has shared the stage with a diverse list of artists such as singer/songwriter/composer and Grammy nominated C. F. Kip Winger, Eric Martin (of Mr. Big), Steve Brown and PJ Farley of Trixter, Anthony Corder (the voice of Tora Tora), Rock Vocalist Fiona Flanagan, Guitar virtuosos Reb Beach, John Roth, Jorge Salan and Donnie Wayne Smith, the late great Jazz Pianist Barry Harris, celebrated Saxophonists Eric Morones, Johnny Padilla and Jesse Lee Montijo, Jazz Guitarists Scott DuBois, Jeff Schroedl, Steve Peplin, Kirk Tatnall, Mike Standal, Michael Arnold, Pete Billman and Roger Brotherhood as well as many more great Jazz artists such as Rick Embach, Berkeley Fudge, Tom McGirr, Aaron Gardner, John Babbitt, Mark Solveson, Hal Miller, Kevin Kostick, Mark Lewandowski, Jeannine Rivers, Anita Stemper, Vince Oglesby, Swing Nouveau, in addition to Blues artists Altered Five, Jonny T-Bird and Tallan Latz. Ben has worked with Legendary Rudimentalists John S. Pratt, Dominick Cuccia and Mitch Markovich, as well as Percussionists Jim Sewrey, Jeff Salisbury, Kaili Francisco and many more.

Ben is also an author, proofreader, freelance editor and session performer for Hal Leonard Publishing, with published works including: "Workin' Drums - 50 Solos for Drumset", "40 Intermediate Snare Drum Solos", "Rudimental Solos for the Marching Snare Drummer", "Modern School for Mallet Keyboard Instruments", "Hal Leonard School for Snare Drum", transcriptions of Ray Luzier's "Double Bass Drum Techniques", the compilation book "First 50 Solos You Should Play on Snare Drum", as well as performing on and writing for the Hal Leonard DVD "Traditional Rudimental Drumming" by John S. Pratt. Ben has also released "How to Play Drums in 14 Days" from Troy Nelson Music.

With over three decades of experience as an educator and clinician, Ben currently instructs private studio lessons in Nashville, TN privately and through the Nashville Music Academy. Ben has also enjoyed working with his students at his former music instructor positions at the Milwaukee Area Technical College, the Wisconsin Lutheran College, SAE Institute - Nashville and the Wisconsin Academy of Music.

Ben is a Yamaha Performing Artist who also currently endorses Aquarian Drumheads, Mike Balter Mallets, Vic Firth Drumsticks, Tycoon Percussion and Impression Cymbals. Ben is a member of ASCAP and John S. Pratt's 'International Association of Traditional Drummers'.

Joey Cassata is a musician who is playing drums on the upcoming Ace Frehley record, 10,000 volts. Joey's musical journey started when he was just five years old seeing KISS at Madison Square Garden.  He later went on to open for KISS with his band Z02 in 2004 for 50 shows. After releasing several albums, Joey and ZO2 went on to star in their own TV show, Z Rock on IFC. Z Rock became the highest rated debut show in IFC history. After Z Rock, Joey went on to perform with the Tony Award winning Broadway musical Natasha Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812. Aaron's bio:

Born and raised in San Jose, California, Aaron Leigh's musical journey began at the age of 5 when his Grandmother gave him drumsticks and a practice pad, introducing him to the mesmerizing performance of Buddy Rich on the Mike Douglas Show. Inspired by the rhythmic beats, Aaron quickly embraced the drums and started playing.

At the age of 10, Aaron's path took a rock 'n' roll turn when he discovered KISS, igniting a deep passion within him. Determined to become a lifelong musician, he picked up the guitar and immersed himself in the world of rock. As Aaron continued to explore the realm of music, he encountered influential bands such as RUSH and IRON MAIDEN.

At the age of 14, he found his calling in the bass guitar and began honing his skills. It was during this time that he stumbled upon a band called Y&T. Drawn in by their captivating cover art, he purchased their album "Black Tiger" without even hearing a single note. When he finally dropped the needle on the record, Y&T's music resonated with him like no other, instantly becoming his favorite band.

In a remarkable twist of fate, Aaron Leigh joined Y&T as their bass player in April of 2016, fulfilling a lifelong dream. Reflecting on this incredible opportunity, Aaron humbly acknowledges, "Being a lifelong fan of Y&T and then ending up as the bass player in one of my ALL-TIME FAVORITE bands is an incredible blessing... I'm VERY lucky."

While thriving as a member of Y&T, Aaron Leigh's creative spirit extends beyond the band. He is also a solo artist, songwriter, recording engineer, and producer. On March 4th, 2021, he released his first solo EP, featuring tracks like "INSANITY," "TELL ME," "JEWEL EYED JUDY," and "DON'T SAY GOODBYE." The EP's first single, "Insanity," showcased the talents of Frank Hannon, co-founder and lead guitarist of the platinum-selling band TESLA, who contributed incredible solos that added another layer of melodic beauty to the song.

Noted radio personalities have praised Aaron's solo work, with Eddie Trunk of Trunk Nation/Sirius/XM Radio commenting, "Aaron's done a great job playing bass in one of my favorite bands Y&T. But his new solo single shows he has a lot to offer as a solo artist as well. 'INSANITY' is a great melodic rocker!" 

Continuing to tour the world with Y&T, Aaron Leigh is on the verge of releasing his sixth solo single.

Once again, Aaron immersed himself in the creative realm as he is about to unveil his latest solo endeavor.
"Bahia Sunshine" is set to captivate audiences worldwide on July 28th, 2023. 

Adam Hamilton is the guest on the show today.  We recorded this show primarily to discuss the latest album, Solsorte, by the Blackbird Angels. Blackbird Angels is a band that includes Todd Kerns, Tracii Gunns, and Adam. Adam discusses his latest work he is producing, joining LA Guns, Brides of Destruction with Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue, and how he got his break in music that involved him living with CC Deville of Poison. The lovely Bobbie Brown is the guest on the show this week. If you want to hear raunchy stories of the sunset strip, this IS NOT the show for you. We hear all about how she is living life these days and how she has turned tragedy into triumph.

Bobbie Brown was crowned Miss Louisiana Teen USA in 1987 and spent her career as a video vixen with known acts such as Warrant and Great White. She has appeared on many television shows, authored two best selling books, and calls her daughter 'her person.' She is an absolute delight and is currently spending her time working on charity work and we hear a third book is in the works!

Todd 'Dammit' Kerns is the guest on the show today! Todd  is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and producer. He is most noted for being the bass player and back up singer in “Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators”, and for being the front man of “The Age of Electric”. In more recent years he has been making his mark as a singer- songwriter with his sold out acoustic performances.

While touring the world, playing to sold out audiences, he has had the opportunity to share the stage with some of rocks biggest names, including some of his own personal heroes. Some of those names include, Slash, Lemmy, Alice Cooper, Rick Nielsen, Duff McKagan, Adam Levine, Fergie, Bill Murray, Sammy Hagar, Michael Monroe and Sylvain Sylvain to name a few.
