Hey, I’m back with another story from my life and how the 2019 Valentine ruined it all for a lot of wives of security forces. Pulwama Attack was one of the most destructive attack on security forces and it got avenged within 3 days, where Shaurya Chakra Awardee Major Vibhuti Dhoundiyal and 3 other soldiers sacrificed there lives while killing Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorists.
Major Dhoundiyal and his wife Nitika Kaul Dhoundiyal were also planning their first anniversary celebrations when this happened. Nitika Kaul Dhoundiyal left her corporate job and is now a proud officer in the Indian Army carrying the legacy of his martyred husband.

Army postings are a regular thing, moving from one place to settling down in another and then again making the move is a routine that army families have to get used to. In this episode, I am sharing my love for our latest posting, Leh and the people around in the regiment and the pain of moving away from each other, no matter how much you wish to stay together.
There is not much that wives of army officers get to know about the real situation, but whatever is shared with me, I thought of bringing it for you all to have a better understanding of life and fight for survival up there in the cold desert of Leh Ladakh for the Indian Army during Operation Snow Leopard post India-China standoff at Galwan.
Here's a poetic tribute to Major Anuj Sood, on his 31st birthday, by Jai Samota.
Living alone is manageable, but not on your special days. Listen to the podcast to know how I made it work for our first anniversary celebration being in different cities.
