Ahab begins his kingdom all out with God. From there he gets worse. The murder of Naboth was different from Uriah because Uriah was one of David’s few exceptions. Naboth was just another heartless sin.

Solomon was only relatively focused on God from the start. (Interesting: There is no Goliath or Saul in his life – only a kingdom and endless opportunity.) So, he pursues non-Holy Spirit wisdom and winds up in 11:6 and sets up the Kingdom for its split.
