In this episode, I talk about a lot of painful things I've done and have had done to me as a black woman learning to like the black skin she's in. I include a book—The Bluest Eye written by the late, great Toni Morrison—which was written in the early 70s and helped communicate a story of what ugliness, self-sabotagical thinking and a lack of love and compassion can do to the black community. (Self-sabotagical is a word!!! I just made it up.)

In this episode, I talk about what it's like teaching little children who are new to life as a almost near quarter who's learning about life as well.

On July 2nd, a select few little sevens jumped in the mentions of @SpotifyCares cracking their knuckles ready to type poorly-written jokes after an employee tweeted a Spotify link to the song "Stay Gold" by BTS, replying to a Shawol (a SHINee fan) asking why a certain song was in the memorial playlist for Jonghyun Kim, a late and legendary member of SHINee who passed away in 2017. In this episode, I speak with McKenzie, a Shawol, who shared her thoughts with me on the whole situation, how she feels when non-Shawols use Jonghyun as "tragedy porn" (as she puts it), and how Jonghyun is seen as a poster child for suicide in the k-pop industry and why this takes away from his legacy as a talented singer, dancer and performer. With the rise of expositions in many k-pop fandoms and the sexual assault allegations against many huge male celebrities, I want to discuss my opinions on what's going on and why I think accountability is much needed in the entertainment industry, and in life in general.

I watched Antwone Fisher over the weekend with my aunt and I wanted to talk about a conversation I had with a friend of mine about mental health and also some things I took away from the movie. I also wanted to talk about my own mental health and some things I plan to do to relax this weekend.
