On July 2nd, a select few little sevens jumped in the mentions of @SpotifyCares cracking their knuckles ready to type poorly-written jokes after an employee tweeted a Spotify link to the song "Stay Gold" by BTS, replying to a Shawol (a SHINee fan) asking why a certain song was in the memorial playlist for Jonghyun Kim, a late and legendary member of SHINee who passed away in 2017. In this episode, I speak with McKenzie, a Shawol, who shared her thoughts with me on the whole situation, how she feels when non-Shawols use Jonghyun as "tragedy porn" (as she puts it), and how Jonghyun is seen as a poster child for suicide in the k-pop industry and why this takes away from his legacy as a talented singer, dancer and performer. (I also share my thoughts as well.) McKenzie can be reached at: @kennycabenny on Twitter @unapologetically246 on Instagram Unapologetically Unsophisticated on YouTube
