I truly believe there is so much good in each person on this planet. But if nothing sparks it, they never know God, they won't ever step into their whole selves in fullness. SO, this podcast is for those who have made messes, screwed up time and time again, to know that if they choose to let God's love in, he can shine through those messes. He can pick up the pieces. Pouring compassion into these moments is the best thing you can do for yourself so that this compassion overflows in your walk with others. We only know how to comfort with the comfort we have been shown. SO LET COMPASSION IN AND LET THIS OVERFLOW INTO OTHERS, walking forward loving God and loving others.

My therapist gave me this list of core values. I thought I'd share :)

Also, I want to say that values don't come in our sleep, or consciously. 

"Everyone is born into a certain set of circumstances, and our values are defined by what we experience. Were we born into hardship or luxury? Where did we receive praise? Parents and caregivers are often our loudest fans and critics. What was expected of you?..." (Shetty, 2020. "Think Like a Monk" p.9)

Samson is relatable to all of us to some degree. God never stopped working with Samson, he always answered his cry.

“I am not what I think I am, and I am not what you think I am, I am what I think you think I am.” (Charles Horton Cooley, 1902)

Let's change this perspective to how Christ valued what others thought of him. In Christ, we are set free. It is about being in the body of Christ, not our selfish values, that if we aren't intentional they can sneak up on us.

This day and age we are constantly go, go, go, and we can get so wrapped up in it. Understanding the Monkey Mind helps us become aware of what we can be if we are in cruise control and not in a transformative state. Let's be transformed in the renewal of our minds.
