Shank Outdoors

All right guys what tires better?

The Goodyear Duratrac or the Yokohama Geolander M/Ts?

Welcome back to Shank Outdoors, hope you guys are doing well.

I was out tire shopping... now I'm not a brand loyalty. I just have ran a certain tire for a very long time, and when something works why change it?

I don't know if you guys have been out tire shopping lately or usually switch off your tires. But I came into a surprise today on when I went to go, Like I'll be honest I was tire shopping looking at a different tire than what I have on the truck right now. I do need to get new new tread but I thought maybe let's see what else is out there.

Hey everyone, on this weeks episode Im going to talk about Patches, and why do we collect these decorative items?

Patch Collecting:

- Badges have been collected since ancient times. Greek and Roman pilgrims to pagan shrines made collections of miniature images of gods and goddesses or their emblems, and Christian pilgrims later did the same.

- After the Second World War, American GIs occupying Germany sent badges back to their loved ones, showing where they were stationed. These badges became known as sweetheart patches.

Do you collect patches? I would love to hear how many do you have collected?

I wonder who has the most..

Hey everyone, on this weeks episode Im going to talk about Instagram, and has it ruined Overlanding?

“ It’s like an infectious disease. A black cloud, swallowing up millennials from all walks of life, with promises of fame, notoriety and fortune. It projects relentlessly into your newsfeed, a glossy facade of happy, adventurous, hip, young people living the sort of life you’ve always wanted.” - Driveline.

Let me know your thoughts! Has social media ruined the things we love or is it changing them for the better?

Hey everyone, on this weeks episode Im going to talk about choosing either a Roof Top Tent, Truck Camper or Overland trailer. What costs a beginner getting into overlanding could see and why I chose to build one myself.

Have you built one of these yourself? or currently building one? Post in the comments below the video to let me know about your build!

AOAE, Cant say enough about this event! If you went, then you know what I am saying.

Our family had multiple different ages (5,15) (31,32) and (54,55) for all of us to have a good time says a lot. We really enjoyed the long weekend camping, while enjoying the vendors / activities and learning such valuable information during each event.

We are excited to join next years expo, Im positive it will be even better.

Hey everyone welcome back Shank Outdoors. Thank you for tuning in to this episode, greatly appreciated. Today I want to talk to you about getting skunked while fishing. Fishing northern Alberta or I guess it would be central Northern Alberta. I'm not a pro fishermen at all but can at least catch one or two, or you know have a weekend trip that might have one day that you just don't get anything, but at least get bites and the next day if you go again, catch a few, but being down in Southern Alberta I am not having that type of luck.
