Everyone and their mother has shared photos with Eddie Money after the announcement of his passing, and the big show has plenty of stories about the money man because he was such a valued friend to WCBS-FM 101.1 - New York's Greatest Hits.
Back in January 2015 Eddie stopped by to promote his “two tickets to paradise” musical that ran for a limited time that winter.
He was so excited for this and couldn’t wait to see Scott leading up to his appearance, he called Louie Louie's cell phone almost daily to make sure we weren’t canceling and to “make sure Scott still wanted to see me, because I’m a little crazy but I mean well and Scottie’s gonna help me get this show off the ground.” He got to promote the show on the air with us and was so happy to be back in New York with familiar friends.
It’s one of those things you never forget. He sure was a unique character who will be dearly missed. We played the interview back this week after the word of his passing and you can listen here.
