In this episode of Shaping Futures we’re chatting about the importance of political literacy and civil engagement with Doug Welchon, Participation and Development Officer at the Youth Affairs Council of South Australia (YACSA), and Nick Falcinella, a PhD Candidate from the University of Adelaide’s Department of Politics and International Relations.
This is an apolitical discussion about a wide range of topics from the need for further transparency in government, voting trends, where to find information on candidates and policies, and how to engage with politics outside of election time.
This episode is part of a wider project the Adelaide Global Shapers Hub is undertaking to improve political awareness, engagement and participation of young people within our community. Stay tuned to our social media channels to find out more.
