Bitcoin is trading around an all-time high.A single coin surpassed the $1,200 dollar mark on Friday, according to the CoinDesk Bitcoin Price Index. The run-up in price has been driven in part by speculation that the Securities and Exchange Commission could soon authorize the creation of the first bitcoin-focused exchange-traded fund. Internet security firm Cloudflare has suffered a bug that saw hundreds of thousands of webpages leaking personal data such as passwords and personal messages. The leak leaves millions at risk of being hacked or having their private conversations, including chats on dating websites, leaked across the web. US firm Boeing has announced plans to open its first European commercial factory in South Yorkshire, creating at least 30 jobs. If approved, the £20m plant will be built next to an existing research centre founded in 2001 by Boeing and the University of Sheffield. The company said the factory, at Catcliffe in Rotherham, could also lead to new jobs in the supply industry.The plant will manufacture hi-tech aircraft components. The boss of France's PSA Group, Carlos Tavares, has told the Business Secretary Greg Clark that members of Vauxhall's pension scheme "will be no worse off" should his firm buy the brand. He also said labour commitments at Vauxhall's Ellesmere Port and Luton plants would be honoured. Researchers at Rotterdam School of Management, have discovered what in a TV advert triggers people to find the product online. This group was shown the adverts of 11 different adverts, all created for the same brand of pain-relieving muscle and joint gel. Brain scans then revealed that an advert works best when it highlights both a product’s functional benefits and triggers the viewer’s imagination. James Brydges spoke to Linda Couwenberg, who led the research.

The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), in partnership with DHL, has published its latest Quarterly International Trade Outlook. It shows that confidence among exporters that their turnover will improve jumped in the fourth quarter of 2016, ahead of further moves towards Brexit.
