First, we must apologize, for Filmcast Without a Cause is made of the same material as the sun. Second, this is no normal episode of FWOAC. Due to Memorial Day messing with our usual recording schedule, we decided to record early and mess with the formula a little. This week's show is an in-depth look at Shane Carruth's latest film Upstream Color. The first half of the show is a discussion of the theme and our reactions to it's style, the second half we spoil the plot. We would normally apologize for spoiling, but this film sort of demands it.

Steven Soderbergh vents his issues with the current State of Cinema, the Asian cut of Iron Man 3 is not going over so well, and Fantastic Four casting rumors. After the review we discuss the films of summer 2013 we're itching to see.

FWOAC fends off an alien invasion only to review Joseph Kosinki's Oblivion. In the News!! Keanu Reeves returns cast in original sci-fi flick, the Game of Tag adapted into a feature film, and Asian markets can see Iron Man 3 in "Smell-o-Vision." For our special segment, Pat and Jacob discuss Amazon's debut original pilots. And if you stay through the credits, we spoil Oblivion rotten.

In a rather fortuitous turn of events, FWOAC episode 42 finds Jacob and Pat reviewing the Jackie Robinson Biopic: 42. IN THE NEWS!! Roger Ebert has passed, original Walking Dead showrunner may be writing prequel to The Shining and MacGruber 2 may actually happen. In our special segement, what's more entertaining? Fiction or Non-Fiction in sports films.

FWOAC goes streaming with a double feature of two film festival favorites: Holy Motors and Room 237. IN THE NEWS! Lots of hollywood directors are taking to talents to the small screen.
