Our individual lives move beyond limitation as we focus on our personal mission; our imagination can take us "to boldly go where no one has gone before!" What is our purpose as a spiritual community? Our purpose is our mission, what it is that really propels us and is the real "juice" of our community. I know that it is definitely about transformation within ourselves and then taking that out into the world. When we stay centered on that, nothing can hold us back! This month is the Power of Imagination and the sky is the limit (or actually, there is no limit)!

For Mother's Day, Rev. Rita Marie talked about what qualities are most important in mothers. She described the "wonderful, oneness presence" that we yearn to experience with our mothers. Co-founder of Unity, Myrtle Fillmore, who is considered the mother of Unity, radiated that presence. Rev. Rita Marie acted out the moment that Myrtle had an insight about the harm she was causing herself by stuffing her feelings. She got connected to her feelings and learned to transform them, which resulted in her total healing.

Rev. Rita Marie pointed out that a mother's ability to shift from disconnection to connection is the secret to radiating wonderful, oneness presence like Myrtle did. Then Rev. Rita Marie talked about a mother who did exactly that with her daughter, using the Connection Practice. To close, Rev. Rita Marie shared that the Connection Practice is now available in digital form, making it possible to teach adults and children around the world to shift like Myrtle did.

Easter. That brings up different kinds of images for different people and cultures. But one of the basic themes it often brings up is new life. Whether we are talking about such diverse things as bunnies, eggs, Easter grass or the resurrection, we are talking about new life, new life that has come forth from a pre-existing older order. The resurrection came forth from a time of death, disappointment and chaos.
