Welcome to season 2 of sharing worlds! We’ve got TONS of new bits and segments we’re adding, including each of us making our own creative work of art, fake commercial ads, strange things that happened in Austin this week, song lyric mishearings, and a reflection on our own relationship.
This week, we deep dive into what covid has done to the live music scene in Austin, how we’ve dealt with it, and what we estimate will happen to live music venues and musicians when quarantine is over. Enjoy our new season!
Having one cat was so amazing that we decided to get another! Twice the amount of feline fun, right? Well...Yes and No. How do we get our babies to get along?! <3
We talk about our sweet darling cat Duffy! We talk about staying sane during COVID. We discuss ideas to bring different bits and segments to the Pod- then we try them out. Enjoy!
Isolation is breeding all the time in the world to create strange internet stuff- so here's our episode out a bit early!
To everyone out there- stay safe, avoid contracting/spreading the virus! In a world that has developed new social ills with creeping social distancing, it seems that we've been practicing for this virus for the last 30 years! Let's stay home, knock this virus out, and then come together like never before!
Create things in your home that you always wished you had the time for! Now is your chance!
Also listen to this episode where we discuss our relationship moments during the shutdown of the city of Austin, branching out creatively, caring for our fellow peeps, and losing all of our gigs (for the moment)! Woohoo!!
Most positively described as.....Stay-cation?
We both attended music schools and spent lots of time within musical academia, but in the last few months we've been teaching loads of lessons at Lonestar School of Music (Austin, TX) and loving it!
In particular, I've (Bobby) spent far less time teaching music in the last 8 years and far more time performing, so it's been fun and challenging to shift gears and find strategies for different students! I've found it to be incredibly rewarding in a way that I never really imagined when I was at college. Getting in at the ground floor of someone's musical development is really cool!
Crystal and Bobby answer questions and get silly :D <3
How many stars would you give the last bicycle your rode? How many stars do you give yourself? How many stars do you give your third most favorite friend? How many stars would you give this podcast description?
You are a shining star! This week we discuss the evolution of YELP culture and where the heck did it come from, plus how it makes us feel and why do we use it so much? Or not?
In honor of Valentine's day AND just over 6 months of marriage, this week we discuss what it was like to plan our wedding! From the moment we got engaged to walking down the aisle, we share what it was like to plan around a crazy schedule and some unconventional aspects we had at our wedding. Share this wedding, share that wedding. Wedding ice cream, wedding rings, wedding people, that's us.
Our new song "Sips of Moonshine" is coming out soon, and just in time for our traveling episode! I know, I know, it seems like we always talk about this topic- but this is specifically about what it's like to travel together versus solo or in a group. Then we get digress into our views on group dynamics, and we get silly. Per usual!
