At the Red Sea, the Israelites have to choose between faith and fear. What began as fear - evidenced in anger - turned to faith as they witnessed the power of God.

On the edge of the wilderness, the Israelites find themselves up against the sea with the Egyptian army in pursuit. God has led them here with a visible representation of His presence - fire and cloud. He now commands them to just keep moving forward.

The Israelites are finally free. While they may have gotten out of Egypt, God still had to get the Egypt out of them. 

With His final mighty act, God ultimately sets His people free from slavery in Egypt. But, this final act is about more than slavery from Egypt. This act of the Passover will become a feast which will become a yearly experience for all Jews. Ultimately it will lead us to the work of Jesus - the Messiah.

As the intensity of the plagues reaches the next level, God turns His attention to the Pharaoh. He reminds him that He is the One, True God and that the only reason Pharaoh has a chance is because of His mercy. God is dealing with the enemy through both power and grace.

The epic battle between the God of the Hebrews and the gods of Egypt finally begins. God is waging war against the gods the Egyptians have given their hearts to and He is making Himself known as the One, True God. 

Before the 10 Plagues the battle between God and Pharoah gets off to an exciting start. God wins.

As Moses gets ready to make bold claims and bold acts against Pharoah on behalf of God, he takes a moment to show us his own journey from fearful, reluctant obedience to a bold, faithful leader.

God is patient again with Moses. In Moses' doubts God does not appeal to Moses' abilities but rather to His own power.

Moses finally gets back to Exodus and while walking in obedience things get worse instead of better. What happens when we are obedient but things don't get better?
