At the Christmas break - World Juniors is a hot topic; The Elite 6; Vancouver takes over first in the Western Conference as Vegas plays through goaltender injuries and LA with fewer games played continues to play catch up.
Dallas last minute win has them atop the Central at the break. Winnipeg a point back of Dallas and Colorado in a tightly contested 3-way race.
The Wild Card hopeful group has the next four Central division teams vying for 2 spots - Arizona, Nashville, St. Louis and Minnesota while it's Edmonton after by point percentage.
To wrap it's Michigan goals and a look at the draft lottery teams well below the playoff cut-off in Calgary, Seattle, Anaheim, San Jose in the Pacific and Central Chicago.
