Shashu has been singing this song throughout the day! We all have this thing, where, some song, or a dialogue or just a word, gets stuck in our minds and we keep uttering it until we forget it just like that. Shashu had no questions for today and just wanted to sing the song and he himself suggested, we record this. So, here you go, all excited, Shashu singing his favourite birdie song, he learned at school.

Ever since I had Shashu, I was super excited just like any other parent to record what he did,what he enjoyed, what he learned,all into a lovely memory. I have friends who have created email ids for their kids and send mails on special occasions for their kids to read in future. Some have also taken super extra efforts of making their kids show their talent to the world through several social media platforms. In shashu's case, I have been extra careful to let him be himself and not force him or bribe him into something or rather should I say I was poor in recognising his interests. But one thing Shashu has been surprising me with is, his unquenchable thirst for knowledge. He questions about anything and everything under the sun. Why not? Why so? Why not so? Are his constant. Hence I thought I'd just record whatever he questioned me, and also the everyday conversation we had with each other. I don't make shashu think of a question, or strike a conversation with him for the sake of recording, but whenever he comes up with a question and the atmosphere is fit, we just start recording. You may also notice that whatever he interprets is not 100% of what I have told him, he gets only around 40% of what I say, but that's fine. This shows the attention span of kids and shows how they try to keep up with the adults version of something and comprehend it into their capacity. I am just happy that I ensure I take some time to sit and converse with him, where I am being just a normal parent, who does not know everything, bit tries to give her child the whatever knowledge she has do as to retain the very little time she gets to be with him before he grows up and finds solace in Google.😜

Myself and Shashu often gaze at the stars and have long conversations on which star is bright, which is cute, which one is me and which one is him. I have also introduced him to different shapes the group of stars make. Today he came across the term 'Constellation' and got curious about the same. Constellation is a group of stars and have different names based on their shapes. Constellations were of big help in olden days where travellers had hard time finding directions.

This episode has 2 segments where, in the first segment, Shashu asks,how a seed germinates into a plant. Just like children grow everyday with proper nourishment, an embryo in a seed,awaits it's growth into a plant. When it is exposed to moisture, sunlight and soil, a healthy seed,sprouts its first root, which, strengthens its base in the soil, and when it gets good sunlight, the plant, peeps out if the soil and starts making its own food and the process continues to help the plant grow more and bear leaves and fruits. In the second segment, Shashu asks what's a silencer? A silencer, as the name explains, helps to silence down the excess sound that is made in a bike's engine during the fuel combustion process. A silencer helps the engine to perform better and gives good mileage for the vehicle. This explanation about silencer, I have given in a very simple manner comprehensive for a child.

As you would have heard that my child is curious about the littlest of things and terms we use in daily life, here is one simple term which we use pretty casually but has had a huge questionable impact on him. Shashu learns what 24/7 means and where often do we use it. To those curious lil ones, 24 specifies the 24 hours of a day and, 7, the 7 days of a week. This is usually used when we emphasize on our statement sometimes of working throughout without any break. This is a norm for usually kids, who, play, imagine, laugh, crib and explore the world they have been brought into. The other ones are MOMS! Of course, who else would accompany the lil ones except their parents?

When blood is used by the lab technicians for analysis, which mostly is a meagre amount, the remaining is usually disposed off in a Yellow coloured disposal bin(used to disposed hazardous waste) and destroyed usually by incineration (burning) or other required techniques. Children think beyond where we usually stop our imagination at. If we take a minute or two to think and respond to their simple questions, it takes us to an entirely new dimension of thought and learning, let alone the interesting conversation you get to have with your child and becoming their knowledge Bank ☺️
