The protagonists of this story arrive at the market, only to discover that Madame Q is nowhere to be found. With no money in their pockets, they decided that skullduggery was their only course of action in order to procure the coin necessary to buy the needed equipment for venturing forth into the frozen wastes. After buying several items they deemed appropriate, the market was silenced by the arrival of some Nere-do-well house guards seeking to take against his will a boy from the market to work in the forge.
