"Shattered Lives" (Feb 11)

Listen Later

Sunday, Feb 11, 2018: James talks about President Trump's tweet: "Peoples lives are being shattered and destroyed by a mere allegation. Some are true and some are false. Some are old and some are new. There is no recovery for someone falsely accused - life and career are gone. Is there no such thing any longer as Due Process?" He also talks about where the Bible says to "be blameless" — because two White House staffers who were married and divorced twice were accused by ex-wives of "spousal abuse," and of course the media believes the women without any proof. One woman showed photos of herself with a black eye, but ex-staffer Rob Porter says he took the photo, and she's mischaracterizing what happened. The people in the thumbnail image are David Sorensen and his second ex-wife. His first ex-wife disbelieves the second, because she'd never known him to be "violent" or "abusive." In fact David says his second ex-wife, Jessica Corbett, was the one who verbally and physically abused him! But he pointed out female-on-male domestic violence is common yet ignored.

They say that those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it. But lots of intellectuals including Never Trumpers supposedly "know history," yet they're cowards, they fall for the "racism" and "sexism" lies, issues that don't exist, and they can't interpret the present times. They're part of the problem. James is happy that President Trump can change the culture — he and Jesse both have wherewithal and understanding about the present-day reality, and they stand on truth, which is better than "knowing history."

James received a call from a man named Russell from Hampton, Virginia, who accuses Jesse and James of saying that when they have a "difference of opinion" with him or others, we say he's "wrong" just because he disagrees. He wouldn't give the specific of what he was talking about (except in YouTube comments later). He said that as long as you're not harming someone, you have the right to believe what you want. He's not a Christian. Other callers call in. He says what's right for you may not be right for me. Russell claims to believe what makes sense, but James asks him if he ever acts in ways that don't make sense, irrationally. James points out he just may just not see where Jesse makes sense. James says he seems like a libertarian agnostic type of person who doesn't believe in right and wrong. He brings up a "contradiction" in which Jesse says that homosexuals can be born that way if their mothers are angry during pregnancy. Jesse says we get what we deserve in life. Then with Pastor Steven Anderson he said you're not born — James says maybe he meant you're not CONCEIVED homosexual. He says Jesse can't prove half the stuff he says — but James says some stuff is true and you can't prove it. Furthermore, Jesse tells people not to take his word for things, but to know for themselves. He claims Jesse gives opinions, not facts — but James says that Jesse is not into "opinions," and in fact he warns against having opinions, because that's judgment. James points out there are questions of fact, not opinion. The truth is not up for opinion. James says he's kind of an "egg head" for arguing over picky points, and missing the big picture and the truth.
