Shaun Smith, otherwise known as @GorseNod on Twitter, is a thoughtful, unassuming, and soft-spoken human being. 

He's also a musician, an artist, a photographer, and a writer. His essay on Nickerson Dunes was one of my favorite things I read in 2019. 

And, while he came to the game of golf "late" in life, he fell in love with it quickly. To the point, he sought out employment just to be closer to the game.
