I review three movies this week - Free Fire; The Lost City of Z; and Lost Highway - before breaking down the weekend's new releases, including the following: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2; 3 Generations; Chuck; The Dinner; The Lovers; & Handsome: A Netflix Mystery Movie.
Finally, things wrap up with an animated version of Rotten Silver Linings as I discuss a personal favorite, Charlie Bartlett.
Enjoy!
Episode 55 welcomes back Dino Battaglia, the first-ever guest from the Shaun Talks Movies podcast!
We start by discussing some of his recent watches, including Power Rangers, Rogue One, and the Star Wars prequels. Then we delve into his past to discuss some childhood favorites including The Brave Little Toaster, FernGully, and E.T. The conversation takes a bit of a turn and we get onto a tangent about La La Land for a bit, but it's pretty entertaining.
Finally, we get ourselves to the meat of the show. Rather than have Dino recant his three favorite movies like he did on his first go-around. Instead, we talk about Handsome: A Netflix Mystery Movie, in which he will be appearing this week! The movie drops this Friday (May 5) only on Netflix, so be sure to check it out!

Finally, I wrap things up with a Rotten Silver Linings segment that sees me discussing the infamous Troll 2.

Then we delve into the past and discuss his early love for the Indiana Jones franchise and how Edgar Wright has influenced his dream to become an editor.

On this week's episode, I sit down with Alex Rico to talk about some of his favorite movies. This is hands-down one of the most awkward episodes to date, but I think it's still pretty entertaining.
We discuss recent movies that Alex has seen, including The Shack and Those People (which is currently streaming on Netflix). We also delve into his movie-watching past and talk about his connection to The Lion King and his love of Morgan Freeman, Jodie Foster, and Meryl Streep.
On the back half of the episode, I force Alex to whittle down his list of favorite movies to one particular flick from the franchises he chose. We ended up with the following: Back to the Future: Part II; Jurassic Park; and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.
We also take a little bit of time to talk about WonderCon Anaheim, which Alex recently attended to show off his new Mystery Science Theater puppets.
Enjoy the episode!
