Have you ever been so afraid of something you do almost anything to avoid it? Fear is an emotion and if we believe emotions were created by God, it would make one wonder what the purpose of fear is in our lives, right? 

I think God gave us that emotion to be used at appropriate times, but what He didn't intend for it to produce in our lives is fear of being obedient when He gives us clear direction in an area of our lives. Yes, fear can feel so intimidating. Yes, fear can be loud. But fear is also a liar as it applies to our faith and whether we will step out and pursue the things God has purposed for our lives.

Boundaries help us stay in tune with the voice of God and help fulfill His plan for our lives. It's a good thing to learn how to ebb and flow in the seasons of life. Essentially, it's learning to understand what our capacity is for the current season we're in and leaning into that.
