Hello, my beautiful airwaves family! I thank you all so much for joining me on this podcast today. I hope you are having an AMAZING DAY!! Today on She Grows Here Podcast Radio we are talking about the heaviness going on in our society today. We're dealing with the weight of everything that an entire culture of people are dealing with day in and day out. We're talking about the unrest, the pain, the struggle, the suffering of an entire population of people, and the weight that it takes to carry it around. Today I'm talking about something that is "frowned upon" "looked down on", "criticized" but also, very much needed in our culture and in our society today. I'm talking about seeking help, seeking guidance, seeking counseling, therapy, to heal the broken pieces within us. Today I am getting real, raw, and unedited about what my people experience on a daily basis. What I as a black woman have experienced over my lifetime. What generations of people before us have experienced, dealt with, carried with them, the weight of an entire culture, and how it affects us every day. Today, I'm talking about healing ourselves as individuals in order to heal ourselves as a society. Today I'm speaking on something that may not be the "most popular" subject, but definitely much needed. We all have struggles, things we deal with, things we carry with us around for no reason other than things happened and we never properly healed. Today I'm talking about the reality of the struggle and the burden of carrying those things and offering a way to help us all properly begin to heal and grow from those things moving forward. And as we begin to heal ourselves, we begin to heal our nation as a whole. My third book is now available on Amazon titled, "The Power: That stopped the wind and calmed the waves".
