Influence is a hot topic. It’s a buzzword that we hear and read a lot about. We have books, podcasts, articles, and seminars on influence. Not a day goes by that we don’t see influencers on our social media platforms, TV, and advertisements. But what exactly does it mean to be influential and what does it mean for you?

In today’s episode we not only chat through influence, but we also chat through a critical part of the influence equation this is often left out in discussions around influence: You can’t be influential without first being credible.

Specifically, I share 3 ways to start building your credibility in your vocational calling, including:

Friends, if you want to be influential, then choose to be credible first. God has given you a sphere of influence, and I believe God has called each of us to be influential for the right reasons. When you are influential, you have the opportunity to impact and influence culture through your work and leadership.

 “Do you have a clear and confident online voice?” 

If you don’t know your voice, you’re most likely communicating a message you never intended to convey. This is not only important for brands, but for you too! Every time you communicate, whether through a social media post, email, website page, direct message, etc., you display a specific personality, a specific voice, and your audience is building a particular impression based on that voice. This is why it’s vitally important that there is clarity around your voice.

It is important to note that Queen Esther could not approach King Xerxes, uninvited. She could risk losing her life. Talk about a difficult situation! But yet, she moves forward with a plan in place, and it is here where we learn some vital communication lessons from Esther as she uses her voice to save her people.
