On today’s episode I am super excited to introduce you to an Amazing woman who manages to fit what seems to be an entire week's work into a single day. She is a professor, suicide prevention expert, Board Member at the NDIA, Chief strategist at TogetherAI, Committee Chair at Open Arms Veterans & Families Counselling, Chair at Swiss8, former Chair at Streat and helped setup Beyond Blue. Today’s guest is Professor Jane Burns a true role model for women all over and a proud mother of 3!  

Did you know that she was part of raising $41.3 million dollars during the lock-down, without meeting the investors face to face, what an achievement. She prides herself on authentic communication & engagement and hoe effective this can be with maintaining relationships during lockdown. She prides herself on running her week in a flexible manner, much prefers phone communication over email and loves working with early stage startup founders and teams. She is a big advocate for artificial intelligence and the developments some amazing women are making in this space.

She proudly sits on the board of the NDIA and draws directly upon her experience with a child with disability. It's a big passion project for her, her 15 year old son Angus, her oldest child has been a huge beneficiary of the program. She has faced her own set of challenges with gender equality and being a working mother.

She has a maiden name of Mudge, with the nickname of Mudgey!

She is a proud mother of 3.

She was flying to Sydney & Canberra at least 3 times per week, before lock-down.

Beverley McArthur “Knows” what it takes to make an impact as a Politician, Community Champion, Wife and most importantly a Mother!  She Knows

On today’s episode I am super excited to introduce you to an Amazing woman who is truly impacting the community around her and beyond.  With health, our livelihoods, creating a better world for our children at the forefront, this woman has some dynamic and thought provoking opinions.  She has been a member of the Liberal Party for 45 years and serving her community in politics as the member for Western Victoria.  She is the proud mother of 3, lives on a Beef Farm in Camperdown and covers an area spanning 79,000 square kilometres.  Today’s guest is Beverley McArthur MP, a true role model for women all over and a community champion!  

Now I know what you’re thinking, is this episode going to be all about politics?  Well, surprisingly, no!  Beverley is such an accomplished individual and that’s not even touching on her political career.  She has played the role of wife, mother and community servant for over 45 years.  Bev has a particular nack for speaking from the heart, being unashamedly herself and accepting that she is not going to be everyone’s cup of tea.  In fact, she shared a really poignant quote on the show, which will stick with you.  She mentioned that so many “are worried about becoming tomorrow’s headline, when they should be focussed on being a headline to begin with”.  This shows her courage and willingness to get others into the conversation, that we all need to have.

Welcome back, everyone to the second ever episode of she knows a brand new show shining a light on amazing women doing amazing things. And I've got an amazing woman on the show today. There's no doubt, but not just a woman, an amazing human being and someone who's been really crushing it in her space and industry for a long time now, she doesn't look to be slowing down anytime soon. I must admit her energy is infectious so I'm going to introduce her. She's a 45 year member of the Liberal Party. She's the member for Western Victoria. She's a mother of three. She currently can be found down in Camperdown on a huge property. And she covers such a massive area across the Southwest. Well, I'm very fortunate because I'm out here in the country. My letterbox is five kilometres from the house. So I'm, I'm in isolation, so to speak. But I can enjoy the the birds and the bees and the surrounds of being out in the country. So we are very fortunate those of us who can be in the country, I have great sympathy for those people locked up in the prison of their homes in Melbourne, kind of get to a playground these days. Who would have thought? Terrible? Yeah,
