Meet Dr. Lorilet Monegro, a highly sought-after expert in pediatric speech and language disorders and bilingual Spanish/English language development. She is a practicing bilingual speech-language pathologist in Westchester County, New York. Dr. Monegro holds a Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from New York University and a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Long Island University — Brooklyn Campus. She completed The Bilingual Extension Institute program for speech-language pathologists under the direction of Dr. Cate Crowley from Columbia University. She pursued her doctoral studies in the EdD Program in Executive Leadership at St. John Fisher University. Her research interests include understanding the influences on high school academic success for Latina college graduates. Dr. Monegro's excellent academic achievements earned her induction into the Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society as a Saint John Fisher University Alpha Gamma Omicron Chapter member. She graduated with her EdD degree in 2023.
After immigrating to the US from the Dominican Republic, she faced the daunting task of learning English and adapting to the American culture.
