She Sheds Real Light

We are so excited for today's episode with our first Guest of the season!  Tune in as we sit down at the table with Frankie Gene and discuss finding hope in the unknown.  Frankie is a wife, mom, entrepreneur, CrossFit fanatic and Panthers fan.

There are so many uncertainties surrounding us every single day and we all have a story to tell.  Frankie has her own story of uncertainty, struggles and diagnosis and remained faithful in her relationship with God.  She went through some very gut wrenching times but our God is a God of restoration and has certainly blessed her in so many ways.  As she gets completely transparent and shares some of these things with us, you can see how God's hand was in every detail and aspect of her life!  It's a story of hope, faith, courage and love.  A story that will inspire and encourage you as it did us.  

Celebrations are fun, right?  When we think of celebrations, we think of confetti, streamers and cake or at least I do!  But when it comes to celebrating in our own lives the achievements, accomplishments and victories, we have a hard time.  

In this episode we talk on the importance of celebrating yourself no matter how big or small.  No victory is too small to celebrate.  If you have breath in your lungs, it's worth celebrating!  

Have you ever anticipated biting into your favorite fruit for the sweet juicy taste only to be disappointed by the extremely bitter taste?  We have too and it's not good!  

In this episode we discuss roots of bitterness that have planted in our own lives and what it looks like to walk through those, begin to heal and do better for ourselves.  Bitterness robs us of walking in our calling and purpose.  It keeps us chained down and shackled.  It puts us in a place the enemy enjoys watching us suffer.  

When we are full of bitterness, we are only hurting ourselves.  The person we are harboring bitterness towards is walking around freely.  Don't bind yourself up behind prison gates when you can be walking around in freedom!  Deal with your bitterness and allow God to remove it from your life.  

Welcome to Season Five!  The time has finally come that we are reunited once again and goodness are we excited.  

We have been taking a much needed break while we've been going through changes in our own lives and working through things.  We've truly just been seeking God in our absence.

Do you ever feel absent, like you only have so much to give to others?  We have been there too friends!  We often get so busy we deplete ourselves quickly.  Good news!  You can rest in God's promises and be still in His presence.  You don't have to do it all.

Jennifer is a Farmers Wife, Mom, Author and Speaker. She lives on her husbands family farm that’s been passed down through generations.  She is a true representation of a Christian woman who not only shares about God but also lives a life pleasing to God.

Week 6: It's All Under Control.

We cannot believe we are at the end of this book.  We have enjoyed it so much and learned a lot along the way.  We hope you have as well.  

This week we are talking about plans, pinings and a promise.  Jesus already paid every single one of our debts in full when He died on the cross.  Too often, we forget that!  

God plants us in a place we never even wanted to be yet find it's what we really need.  When Jennifer said that, we were both like, wow how true is that.  So often we are brought to places we have no desire to be but it's in those places God uses us and we look back on them finding that was exactly where we needed to be at.  So, wherever He is planting your seeds at, tend to them well.  Help them to sprout up into strong flowers.  Flourish in the calling He is leading you into.  

You will face struggles throughout every planting but it's in that you grow and become something so beautiful!

It's All Under Control Week 5:

Do you know that familiar feeling of being placed in the waiting room?  Where you sit and play the waiting game. Every time the door opens, your eyes quickly shift to see if it’s your doctor coming out to give you the report on your loved one. It’s not a fun or pleasant feeling. What if we told you that God often places us in the waiting room? The waiting room is a place where we are only told to trust Him to work it all out.  There are no hints shared about what’s to come out of the waiting or on the timing of when it will all play out.  Nothing about waiting is easy.  When we try and take the lead over the drivers seat, we are interfering with the work only God can do; delaying the process of His perfect plan for our lives. 

God's delay sometimes seems like denial.  While sometimes this is true, other times it's not.  Embrace the wait and trust God through it all, giving God all the control!

It's in the waiting where God works on us.  Think back on past times when you were placed in the waiting room, can you see now that God's hand was all over it and He was up to something so amazing?  Rest in knowing that waiting is a pathway to protection.  

It's All Under Control Week 4.

Well y'all, this week has been such a good reading.  The Lord is working on us and our hearts, teaching us so many things through this study and we hope and pray He is doing the same for you.  

This week we talk about the importance of quieting our souls so that we can better hear from God.  Jennifer writes about Do, Delegate, Dismiss.  We've got to allow our schedules to line up with God's plans for us, not ours.  Getting caught up in every yes, takes away from others opportunities to shine but also wear us down, keeping us from our full potential in the areas God is calling us to serve in. 

HELP!  I think we can all agree that asking for help is something most of us have a hard time doing.  Pride gets in the way, our need to control everything stands in the way, worrying about how it will get done keeps us from asking.  There are many reasons why we don't ask for help.  But we learn that even Jesus asked for help on multiple occasions throughout His time here on earth.  We too, should learn from this and step out to ask for help more often.

Let's face it y'all, being obedient isn't easy!  Being obedient is hard work, it takes discipline and self control.  BUT we are learning through this study that being obedient to God is so rewarding.  You are in charge of obedience, God is in charge of the results.  Whew y'all!  That is some powerful stuff.  The results are in His control, not yours.
