She Slept With Her Brother

Listen Later

There are some stories so difficult, so complex, that people would rather whisper about them than understand them. One woman’s story is one of those. She grew up in a home where she never felt love, especially not from the one man whose approval she craved most—her father. His coldness and constant rejection left a deep hole in her spirit. She was never told she was good enough, never made to feel safe or seen. That kind of emptiness doesn’t just go away. It festers. It seeks to be filled. And in her search for love, for acceptance, for someone to finally hold her and not let go, she made a mistake. A grave one. She turned to the only person who had ever shown her kindness—her own brother. In their brokenness, something happened that should not have. It wasn’t planned. It wasn’t part of some twisted desire. It was the result of two broken souls trying to find comfort in a world that had denied them it.But when the truth came out, the world didn’t stop to ask why. They didn’t care about the trauma. They didn’t wonder what kind of pain could lead a person to such a decision. No, people pointed fingers. They called her disgusting. They labeled her forever. She was never a person again—just a headline, a scandal, a story to be told with judgment and disgust.Yet the same people who judge her so harshly live lives full of secrets. They lie. They cheat. They steal. They gossip. And yet they think their sins are somehow cleaner. More acceptable. But the Bible is clear:“The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy.” – Proverbs 12:22
“All liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” – Revelation 21:8
“You belong to your father, the devil… When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” – John 8:44God sees the heart. He knows who is truly repentant and who hides behind the mask of religion while living in sin. Many people go to church every Sunday, raise their hands in praise, and then go home to tear others down. They ask for God’s blessing while sowing seeds of division. They talk about righteousness, but their hearts are full of bitterness and pride. How can you call yourself holy when you treat others like trash?Jesus said in Matthew 7:1-3:“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged… Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?”What this woman did was not right. But her story is not about justifying the act—it’s about understanding the pain that led her there and the power of God’s mercy to redeem any life. We all have skeletons in our closets. Some people are just better at hiding theirs. The world wants to keep people trapped in their past. But God is about deliverance. Restoration. Healing.Let us never forget that Jesus spent time with the outcasts. He touched the lepers, spoke with the adulterers, and called tax collectors to be his disciples. Why? Because he saw more than what they had done—he saw who they could become. No one has the right to condemn someone else to a lifetime of shame. If God, the Holy One, can forgive and restore, who are we to cast stones? If you’ve found yourself gossiping, judging, or thinking you’re better than someone else because their sin looks different than yours, take a moment to reflect. Ask yourself if you are truly walking in love. Because if your heart is hard toward others, especially the broken, then you are not walking with God—you are imitating the enemy. This story is not about excusing sin—it’s about remembering that we all need grace. Every last one of us.Keyword Description: Healing from trauma, God’s mercy after sin, judgmental Christians, incest story based on rejection, why we should not judge others, scripture on lying and hypocrisy, God’s forgiveness for all, liars are an abomination Bible verse.
