God has been reminding me that there is work to be done. We don't have time to become consumed by every situation that appears around us. Sometimes people don't like when you identify something as a distraction because once you recognize it, you stop giving it the attention it was receiving. Problems can become distractions. People's opinions can become distractions. Fear can become a distraction. Worry can become a distraction. Even constantly thinking about what could happen tomorrow can distract you from what God has placed in front of you today. If something continually pulls your attention away from your purpose, your peace, your relationship with God, and the work you know you should be doing, you have to learn how to recognize it without allowing it to control you.

I want to share something today because I feel deeply led to speak to those who may be walking through confusion. Sometimes the confusion we experience is not because something is wrong with us. Sometimes we become confused because we have started entertaining too many voices. We start worrying about who, what, when, where, why, how, and what if. We start examining situations that God never asked us to examine. And before we know it, we have allowed questions to become louder than our faith.If you believe in God and you know that God loves you, then there comes a point when you have to stop worrying about everything surrounding what He has called you to do. Whatever God has placed before you, do it to the best of your ability. If you believe He has given you an assignment, concentrate on being faithful to that assignment instead of constantly looking around to see whether somebody else understands it, approves of it, validates it, or believes in you.Confusion can become powerful when we start believing every negative thought that enters our minds. That is why Scripture tells us to test things rather than simply accept every spiritual claim: “Test the spirits to see whether they are from God” (1 John 4:1). Everything that enters your mind is not automatically truth, and everything somebody attaches God's name to did not necessarily come from God.That is especially important today.Someone can stand before a camera and say, “God told me,” but simply attaching God's name to an action does not make that action godly. If somebody claims God instructed them to abuse a child, murder somebody, exploit somebody, or commit some other evil act, Christians should not suddenly become confused about God's character. We measure the claim against the character and teachings revealed in Scripture. Jesus Himself warned that we recognize people by their fruit (Matthew 7:15–20).

Glory be to God. I wanted to come on today specifically to share a vision that I received last night. This is something that has stayed heavily on my mind, and I believe it is important for me to document what I see and share what I feel led to share.In the vision, I saw someone who appeared to be a person of high relevance or influence. There were also women present who appeared to be celebrity-type figures. One of the women reminded me of someone with the level of fame and presence of Beyoncé, although I am not saying that the woman in the dream was actually Beyoncé. I am simply describing the type of prominence and celebrity presence that I perceived in the vision.

One of the greatest examples comes from Jesus Himself. Think about what happened to Jesus during His crucifixion. He was mocked, beaten, humiliated, falsely accused, and crucified. Yet even while suffering, Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing" (Luke 23:34, New International Version). If there was ever someone who could have asked God to punish His enemies, it was Jesus. Jesus said in Matthew 7:16, “Ye shall know them by their fruits.” That Scripture means something to me because I don't believe we're supposed to blindly follow somebody just because they have a title in front of their name. Look at the fruit. Look at how they treat people. Look at how they speak about people when they're angry. Look at what happens when somebody disagrees with them. Look at how they treat people who cannot do anything for them. One thing we have to understand about walking with Christ is that everybody is not at the same level of spiritual maturity. Some people are still learning how to control their emotions, how to communicate without becoming disrespectful, how to handle correction, how to forgive, and how to respond when they do not get their way. Because of that immaturity, people will sometimes say things and do things that are completely wrong. However, the bigger question for the mature believer is not always, “Why are they acting like that?” Sometimes the question needs to be, “Why am I allowing their behavior to pull me back into a version of myself that God has already grown me out of?”

If people can faithfully support someone who is wicked, then why can't Christians faithfully support God?Think about it.People will defend celebrities, politicians, influencers, and all kinds of people who have no real power outside of what God allows them to have. They'll argue online, make videos, wear their merchandise, and stand by them no matter what.But when it comes to talking about Jesus, suddenly people get quiet.It's like the cat has their tongue.They're worried about what someone might think. They're afraid of being judged. They're embarrassed to speak up. Yet they'll boldly defend someone who can't save them, heal them, or give them eternal life.God has all power.If we're willing to stand behind people who are flawed, why is it so hard to stand behind the One who created us?Nobody should be forced to believe what someone else believes. We all have the freedom to make our own choices. But if someone has the freedom to openly support the things they believe in, then Christians should have that same freedom to openly share their faith without feeling ashamed.The truth is, when you genuinely believe in God, there will be times when you feel like you're standing alone. Not everyone will understand you. Not everyone will agree with you. The people who truly recognize what God is doing aren't always the majority.But that shouldn't change your conviction.I believe in God enough to stand my ground.If someone else can boldly stand behind what they believe—even when I disagree with it—then I can boldly stand behind Jesus without apology.Faith was never meant to be hidden.
