This episode Jess, goes into detail to explore a topic all too familiar to hundreds of thousands of women. Did you know this heartbreaking statistic: 1 in 4 women suffer from miscarriages and 1 in 6 couples experience infertility. As a woman, you feel incomplete not being able to get pregnant or carry a baby to term. Think of Hannah in the Bible. As devastating as it was, she couldn’t conceive. But her true heartbreak came from Peninnah who taunted her for being barren to the point of despair, much like today. Common place society subtly shames women who can’t or don’t have children without offering compassion for the reasons why. Perhaps it’s a personal choice, a medical condition or a bodily function that’s not allowing for pregnancy and motherhood. But looking further into Hannah’s story, we see her torment turn into a desperate prayer and that desperation turned into a vow and praise. As God has promised in His word, He draws near to the brokenhearted and in this case, blessed Hannah with a son. That gift from miscarriage to live birth has been blessed to many women since and today we explore the beauty of God’s Grace and the infertile womb.

Instead of carrying a child, women carry shame, guilt, condemnation often thinking God is punishing them. I’m talking of course of being infertile, struggling with the conception of a child, becoming a mom. While some are blessed with a quick pregnancy, some of us struggle. Whether we believe it’s a punishment we deserve from God, or it’s because we’ve had an abortion or it’s because we of our sins, I’m here to tell you that’s not true. It’s not a punishment from God, there’s no judgement: just love, His love. Walk with me as I share the truth of this sensitive and often lonely and hidden stigma as we find hope and His light in the darkness.

It's a topic many don't want to know about. Many have tried to dismiss it, even say it doesn't happen or it's made up. In a world that says they care, no one should be turning a blind eye to this because it is real, it is happening and the facts don't lie. Male survivors are silent victims. 50% are male children. 1/5 of all male victims are under the age of 11. 600,000-800000 people are victims each year worldwide. 20000 minors have disappeared in Europe over the last 2 years. There has been a 600% increase for migrants in Europe and yes it has, does and will continue to happen in the United States. What am I talking about? Sexual and human trafficking. It has reached epic proportions, active in most countries, sometimes out in the open. It is a multi-billion dollar criminal industry and often, the victims have no choice, no voice and no escape. They are kidnapped, trafficked, drugged, sold, passed around and they either are killed, commit suicide or for the lucky few they escape. Sadly the latter doesn't happen for most. Join me as we delve into the darkness that is human trafficking and how we can stop it. In this episode Jess, goes into detail about the darkness of human trafficking.
