Karen C. McCord is the mother of Carley McCord, a sports journalist who lost her life in a plane crash that attracted national attention. Her new memoir, Only Rainbows, juxtaposes her journey through healing with those of her husband and children, and also serves as a celebration of Carley’s own story. Karen is also the author of Lessons of the Lilies, which chronicles her struggles with infertility and her relationship with God. Her writing is a testament to the promise of hope for those who have experienced grief.

She is also actively involved with education as a 45 year educator and medical interview coach.
