Today we read from 1 Corinthians 12:12-26 and examine Paul’s continual teaching on the spiritual gifts. He uses the analogy of the human body to illustrate how the body of Christ is a unified mechanism composed of many parts. Our diversity flows out of our unity. This is a notoriously difficult and misunderstood text in the church due to the perceived sensitivity of the subject to modern readers. What does Paul mean in saying that women ought to cover their heads? Is this still a practice that the church should be following? We will attempt to unpackage and understand this text.

There is no greater pursuit in the life of the believer than the pursuit of a life lived unto the glory of God. Paul teaches us today that we are to do all things for the glory of our God. Let us gather and worship this day.
