Born to Liberian parents in Washington D.C., she spent her formative years in Kansas City, Missouri, before pursuing modeling in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2013. Currently involved in various initiatives in Liberia, Naomi works to bridge the gap between the diaspora and locals.
Naomi's rapid rise in the modeling world saw her become a pageant queen within just 30 days, highlighting her dedication and spirit. As Miss Liberia, she's traveled globally, using her platform to raise awareness about sexual abuse.
Featured in prestigious publications like FrontPage Africa and Sheen Magazine, Naomi is a voice for the voiceless. As a survivor and advocate, she launched the annual Power Talk panel, addressing taboo topics such as sexual abuse and assault. The panel provides a safe space for dialogue, empowering participants to explore options and rights.
Naomi believes in everyone's potential to contribute to the world and emphasizes embracing innate abilities. This year's event marks the return of PowerTalk after a two-year hiatus. The focus will be on “
‘how physical limitations can impact mental health,’ inspired by Naomi's experience with topical steroid withdrawal (TSW). This traumatic experience temporarily limited her mobility and caused significant pain and discomfort, affecting her mental health. With the help of natural products and care from Elle D her mother Naomi, was nursed back to health.
During the planning of this event, Naomi also faced the loss of her mother, who was a major support and played a significant role in PowerTalk. This year's event will be held in her honor. Despite her ongoing grief and healing, Naomi's mission is to inspire others and spread awareness about mental health.
