This evening we discuss what kept the Jewish people spiritually distinct through their years of slavery in Egypt and how is that relevant to us today - illustrated by a great story from my colleague, Rabbi Jonathan Morganstern, who is responsible for Moshe's life (not who you think), four lessons from the double names of Yocheved and Miriam, and three answers God gives to the question: What is Your name?

Michael Whitman is the senior rabbi of ADATH Congregation in Hampstead, Quebec, and an adjunct professor at McGill University Faculty of Law.
