Do you have everything you need? What would it take to make you feel rich? What's the proper attitude to have as you think about such questions? These are the answers Jesus gives us when he teaches us to pray, "Give us today our daily bread."

That's what Jesus said the night before he died, and that's what's at the basis of these first three petitions of the Lord's prayer. What are we praying (and just as importantly, what are we NOT praying) in each of these three phrases?

Hallowed be your name

Your Kingdom Come

Your will be done

Only 4 words, but so much to learn. God's not just God--he's a Father, but not just that--he's our Father. And not just that--he's our Father in heaven.

Jesus was going to leave, and he had to tell his disciples. He had to tell them the reality of what life would be like the he was gone. He had to tell them so they'd be ready...prepared to face what was ahead. And armed with Jesus' promise of "the Advocate," they would be. And you are ready and prepared, too.

Everyone looks somewhere to get...peace. To get that calmness, freedom from worry and anxiety, to get that stability that we crave. There are all sorts of places to look to get it, but only 1 where we can actually get it--because of the difference between actually giving and just suggesting. Many places makes suggestion. Only One gives.

Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy...popular wedding verses. Beautiful, soaring, poetic, feel-good....right? Ehh. It depends. Fill in the blank with the right thing, and you'll truly rejoice in 1st Corinthians 13, the "Love Chapter" of the Bible.

The people encircled Jesus and demanded that he answer them plainly. And plainly answer Jesus did. And his answer shows us just what we need, and what is more: his answer shows us that we have exactly what we need.

No one was expecting it, least of all the man himself. But everything changed when Saul saw Jesus. His life...the complete opposite direction. His allegiance...turned. His purpose...a 180. When it comes to causing change, God's power knows no bounds.

Thomas is always identified as "doubting." But should that be the case? We propose "no." Because John 20 is not primarily about Thomas' doubt...it's about what Jesus offers, and to whom!

What's the difference between waking up mourning and waking up with joy? Between being full of pressure and having peace? Between striving but never reaching and rejoicing in victory? Easter. Easter is what makes all the difference. It did to the women who were going to bury Jesus, and it does for us as well.
