– When did you wait or hoped for something in your life? Did it turn out the way you hoped?
Read Acts 3:1-10
– Brainstorm what it would have been like to experience this story as… 1. the “crippled man” 2. Peter and John
In Acts 4:9-10
– Peter describes the healing that had taken place by using the word for “salvation”.
– What has the word “salvation” meant to you?
-“Salvation” is translated as “healing” in many places of the Bible (Matthew 9:22, Mark 5:34; 10:52, Luke 8:48). What might that say about the meaning of salvation for us?
– Why do you think its generally easier to talk about physical brokenness than other forms of brokenness in our lives?
– How might we become more comfortable sharing other brokenness in our lives and more comfortable supporting others with other’s brokenness in their lives?
Live it Out:
Ask Jesus to show up and bring healing to one area of your life. Invite someone to support you in God’s healing work.
