People who do not have a meaningful relationship with Christ matter to God; therefore, they matter to us! And the Bible makes it clear that the way someone far from God can draw close to God is if someone close to God is willing to go far to reach them. That’s where we come in. Can you believe that God allows us to partner with Him to change the eternal destiny of another person? Incredible!

Romans 10:14 (TLB) But how shall they ask him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?

Penn Jillette, famous for being part of the comedy duo Penn & Teller is a self-avowed, outspoken atheist. He recently said;“How much do you have to hate somebody to believe that everlasting life is possible and not tell them that?”Great question . . . one for which there is no answer! Christmas is full of paradox. We read about the poverty and humility of Jesus’ birth in a manger and yet we surround ourselves with the wealth and indulgence of gift-giving. We think about warm houses and fireplaces with families gathered around, but read about a cold night in Bethlehem with a lone couple in a dingy stable giving birth to the Savior of the world. Could it be that we have forgotten what really took place that night? Could it be that the most important thing we ever need to know: the identity of the baby born in the manger, has been obscured by the circumstances surrounding His birth and the celebrations we hold to commemorate it? Missing the wonder of this baby is as tragic and scary as losing a child in a crowded mall!
