Katie Hastings is a pediatric nurse, author of "your safe body", and sexual abuse survivor. She is an expert witness on child abuse cases. Katie shares how to keep your kids safe online from groomers, knowing the signs of an unsafe person, and how to talk to our kids about protecting themselves with the meaning of SHOUT as Katie describes in her book. She sheds a light on connecting with our children to create a relationship where our kids will want to come and tell us if something has happened. I ask her some of the questions that parents have been asking about lately such as, the fear of little kids going to public bathrooms by them selves, changing outfits/diapers in public, and for teenagers, the topic of sexting. Katie also shares her healing process from her own sexual abuse trauma as a young girl.
