You scroll through Instagram and find a pair of sunglasses you love on an Influencer. You click the brand she's tagged. After a few clicks, the sunglasses appear on your doorstep in 3-5 days.

The convenience of online shopping is two-fold, in my opinion. While it's super helpful for a busy mom of 4 who doesn't have time or energy to shop, it can also be a slippery slope for children and teenagers who can click a button and make a purchase on something they want vs. something they actually need.

Quarantine for my families hasn't really been that bad! We are doing exactly what we have been asked to do. Stay home, stay safe, wear masks and scrub our hands if we do leave the house.

We missed out on our epic spring break trip to Destin last month, like many of you did... but other than that, we kind of feel like we aren't missing out on too much!

Another activity many people are taking advantage of during their time at home is spring cleaning.

It got us thinking:

So we turned to an expert to ask the burning questions. Professional organizer, Kelly Beutler with The Joyful Sort took the time to step away from Tiger King and chat with us about what her company does and how it's not so foreign of an idea for me and you!

This week's episode of the She's Becoming Domestic Podcast is really unique. Shanisty and Brad had the chance to interview Jeff Reitz who has been visiting Disneyland consecutively for more than 8 years. He was set to reach his 3,000th consecutive visit to Disneyland on Wednesday, March 18th... but due to COVID-19, Disneyland was shut down on his 2,995th consecutive visit.

It's the first week our COVID-19 quarantine and social distancing. Maybe you aren't able to stay at home during this unprecedented time in our country and around the world. Maybe this is the first time you've been able to stay at home with your kids, and take some time away from the office. 

Regardless, this is a time of many uncertainties and things we can't control. Naturally, the first question that came to our mind was how do we discuss this with our children, and how do we shield them from our emotions?

Shanisty and Brad turn to an expert, Dr. Josh Klapow who is a clinical psychologist and offers up some amazing, expert insight for us and COVID-19.

"While this is a time and place to have compassion, children are also learning grit...they’re learning resiliency. Being reassuming to your kids is great, but just know...it’s also okay not to have the answers. Don’t make your kids false promises, it’s okay to say I just don’t know when you’re going back to school, I don’t know when this will all pass. That’s okay to say."
