Dating and relationships are hard. They can be made even harder when either one or both parties have not taken time in their single season to develop individually. Our character is who we TRULY are, not the person we portray ourself to be. Dating can be convenient because naturally as humans we desire to have a partner. Before deciding to date and take a friendship to the next level, it is important to look deep into ourselves and ask some hard questions in order to determine if we are setting ourselves up for success.  Always looking to God for wisdom it is important to first focus on your relationship with Christ so that He can create you into the person your partner deserves. How fruitful are your friends?
Evaluating your friendships is crucial when focusing on your relationship with God. Our community and friends are what can easily influence the places we go, decisions we make, and activities we indulge ourselves in. A fruitful friend should be kind, patient, forgiving, and be able to have self control. At times it can be hard to let go of long time friendships because of all the memories but if that friend is not pointing you into a positive direction; are they really your friend? Focus defined is, "the center of interest or activity". Evaluating where we center our focus can show us directly why certain things take place in our lives. When speaking on being in church some people will confuse purpose of The Church and the people in the church. No matter your experience,  we all have to lead with the understanding that God is working on us all individually. Choosing to go God's way and living right requires checks and balances. You have to check yourself, your actions, and the people around you to ensure that your life aligns with God's word. This requires hard conversations and even hard times even looking in the mirror. Giving your life to Christ is never promised to be easy but knowing that God has the final say, you can walk in confidence and acceptance of His Word and the direction that He is going to take you. Every day we are given the opportunity to write our own story. With every decision there is a right and a wrong move to make. Understanding that God gives us free will we choose whether we want to follow the path God instructs us to go, or follow the path that we want to go. Life and time goes on so fast that at times we can miss the mark on our day to day  schedules. Whether spending family time, investing in personal growth, or maintaining your love life; we all find ourselves missing the mark in some areas. It is important to always stay present in the time you have and to make the most out of it.  It is best to not get consumed by the troubles in life that we become too obsessed with one goal. Remaining responsible and creating a healthy balance  throughout life, will always lead to success.

Some roads are meant to be traveled just you and God.  Moving across the country is hard but you faith in God and the process is what can keep you going. Remembering the end goal and recognizing the reason why you make decisions can inspire you even in the hard times. Relationships are already hard as it is. When choosing to partner with someone in life we find ourselves in love and wanting to feel more connected. When two people see a future together they will choose to take that next step and get married joining two people as one. In some cases though, one partner can have a desire for marriage while the other partner is not ready for marriage. When this happens, the partner that is ready for marriage may decide to give the other an ultimatum. Marry me or it's over!
