  • Hey SuperMom! It’s Time to STOP doing Everything

Hey there, super moms! In this episode, my co-host Samantha and I are getting real about the myth of having to do it all as a mom. We're challenging the unrealistic expectations placed on moms to be perfect and juggle everything with a smile. It's time to rethink what being a super mom really means!

We dive into the importance of asking for help, whether it's from your spouse, friends, family, or even outsourcing tasks like grocery shopping. We also chat about the need to prioritize and let go of the guilt when we can't get everything done. Laundry piling up? Dishes in the sink? It's okay, mama!

We share our own experiences navigating the demands of motherhood, working from home, and finding those crucial moments for self-care. It's all about figuring out what works best for you and your family, whether that means delegating chores to the kids or embracing the occasional pizza night.

So join us as we keep it real and remind you that you're already rocking it as a mom, even if you didn't make that Pinterest-perfect sandwich for your kid's lunchbox today. It's time to let go of the pressure and embrace the perfectly imperfect journey of motherhood together!

    Hope you enjoyed this episode!

  • Keeping the Romance Alive After Kids

Hey everyone! In this episode, my sister Jessica and I dive into the challenges of keeping the romance alive in your relationship after having kids. We get real about the struggles of finding alone time with your partner when you've got little ones constantly demanding your attention. From sneaking away for some "adult time" to dealing with those less-than-romantic post-baby body changes, we cover it all with our signature blend of humor and honesty.

I share some of my own experiences as a new mom, like that awkward first date night after giving birth and the importance of communicating your needs to your partner. We also swap stories about the creative excuses we've made when our kids have almost caught us in the act - oops!

But it's not all jokes and embarrassing moments. We also talk about the emotional and physical challenges of intimacy after childbirth and the importance of being patient with yourself and your partner as you navigate this new chapter in your relationship.

So whether you're a new parent, a seasoned pro, or just curious about what goes on behind closed doors in a post-baby relationship, this episode is for you. Tune in for some real talk, a lot of laughs, and maybe even a few tips on keeping that spark alive amidst the chaos of parenting.

  • Tales from the Trenches of Household Organizing

Spring is in the air and you know what that means - it's time for some serious decluttering! Join me and my co-host Jessica as we dive into our best spring organizing tips. As busy moms, we know how quickly things can pile up over the winter. From switching out seasonal clothes to tackling the dreaded junk drawer, we're sharing our tried and true strategies for getting our homes in order.

But let's be real, decluttering with kids in the house is no joke! We're talking about how to get the whole family involved without losing our minds in the process. And don't even get us started on the endless cycle of toy purging - it's a battle we're still figuring out.

We're also dishing on our love/hate relationship with organizing products. Those clear bins and cute baskets are tempting, but are they really worth the hype (and the price tag)? We've got some strong opinions on that.

So grab a coffee (in your favorite mug, of course) and join us as we laugh, vent, and motivate each other to create the clutter-free homes of our dreams...or at least make it to next spring without being buried alive in stuff. Hey, a mom can dream, right?

  • Cozy Conversations: Moms Mingling through the Chill

Hey everyone, it's Jess and Sam here! In today's episode, we're diving into the topic of winter blues as moms. You know, those funky feelings that creep up on you during the colder months when you're stuck inside more often than not. We chat about how it can be tough to tell the difference between regular mom exhaustion and actual winter blues, and share some of the common symptoms to watch out for.

But don't worry, it's not all doom and gloom! We also dish about our own experiences and swap tips for boosting your mood when you're feeling down. From getting some sunshine (even if it means hitting up the tanning bed like our mom does!) to starting a fun indoor project or having a cozy family game night, we've got plenty of ideas to help you beat those winter blahs.

We also get real about the challenges of socializing and getting out with little ones during cold and flu season. It can be stressful trying to balance keeping your kiddos healthy with making sure they (and you!) still get some much-needed social interaction.

So grab a warm beverage, snuggle up, and join us for a candid convo about navigating the ups and downs of motherhood during the winter months. Remember, you're definitely not alone in this! Let's help each other out and make it through to spring together.

  • Forts, Feuds, and Family Ties

Hey guys! So in this episode, Jess and I are just chatting all about the craziness of sibling relationships. And let me tell you, as twins with an older sis, we've been through it all - the fights, the jealousy, the silly moments, you name it!

We're over here cracking up about the time we totally messed up Jessica's hair right before prom by accidentally mixing hair dye into her shampoo when we were little. Oops! And oh my gosh, the drama over borrowing each other's clothes and makeup as teenagers - I'm sure you can relate!

But seriously, having a sibling with a big age gap can be tough sometimes. Jess talks about feeling left out when we were born and got all the attention. But our parents were pretty awesome at making sure she had special "Jess time" too, which is so important.

Anyway, we're no parenting experts, but we've got some thoughts on how to handle the sibling craziness. Like, letting each kid be their own person but also encouraging them to be tight, you know? And when they're fighting, whew chile, don't even get me started! We dive into all that good stuff.

Oh and get this - apparently our fam wasn't big on hugging and saying "I love you" growing up. Which explains a lot, ha! But we're working on being more affectionate these days, in our own awkward way. It's a process, people!

So yeah, come laugh with us as we keep it real about the hot mess that is having siblings. Whether you've got 'em, are one, or are wrangling a bunch as a parent, we think you'll vibe with this one. Grab a drink (or like, a juice box if you're babysitting) and enjoy!

    Hope you enjoyed this episode!

  • Disconnecting: Making Time For Friends

Hey mamas, we know how hard it can be to find time for yourself and your friendships when you're busy taking care of kids and everything else life throws at you. In this episode, my sister Sam and I get real about how challenging it is to make time to see friends and take a break from mom life. We chat about the guilt and worry that comes with leaving your little ones, even though you know you need that time to recharge. I open up about how my husband Brett and I barely did anything just the two of us for months after our son Beau was born.

Sam and I discuss our different experiences - for her it's been key to get together with girlfriends for casual brunches or dinners for a few hours here and there. For me, Brett is my best friend so a lot of my "me time" is spent with him. But we both agree that whether it's with your partner or your gal pals, those times to talk, laugh, and just take the pressure off for a bit make you a better, more refreshed parent.

The struggle to make friend time happen is real, but it's so worth it. So call up your girlfriends or your spouse and plan that brunch, dinner, or just a walk and some ice cream. A little break from being "on" all the time is exactly what you need, mama. Enjoy your mom's night (or day) out!

    Hope you enjoyed this episode!

  • The Work & Family Juggling Act

Hey guys! Jess and Sam here, and we want to get real with you about the juggling act of being a working mom. We know it's not easy trying to balance your career and family life, especially when you're working from home like we are. It can be crazy trying to manage it all!

In this episode, we're diving into our own experiences and spilling the tea on what's worked for us when it comes to managing our time and making sure we're still getting that quality family time in. Cause let's be honest, that mom guilt is no joke!

We chat about how being flexible is key and how trying to stick to a super rigid schedule just doesn't work for us. Life with kids is always unpredictable, am I right? Instead, we've learned to just go with the flow, making our to-do lists and tackling what we can, while also making sure we're there for our kiddos when they need us.

We also dish on the ups and downs of working from home, like how it can be hard to separate work and family time, but also how awesome it is to have that control over our schedules. And we get real about the mom guilt that comes with both working outside the home and being work-from-home moms. Spoiler alert: it's impossible to be perfect at it all!

Throughout the episode, we keep coming back to how important it is to set those boundaries to protect our family time, like unplugging from work at night and on weekends, and being fully present on vacations. We also talk about how letting go of the guilt around not finishing every little task has been a game-changer for us in terms of our well-being and being the best moms and business owners we can be.

So if you're a working mom looking for some real talk and tips on finding that balance, girl, this episode is for you! Come join us as we spill the tea and keep it real about the beautiful chaos of juggling motherhood and career. Trust us, we've been there!

    Hope you enjoyed this episode!

  • New Year’s Resolutions: Yay or Nay?

In this episode, my sister and I dive into our thoughts on New Year's resolutions. Honestly, neither of us are big fans of the whole "New Year's resolution" thing. I mean, we get it - a new year feels like a fresh start, a chance to set goals and make positive changes. But let's be real, how often do those resolutions actually stick?

We chat about the cliché resolutions like getting in shape or eating healthier, and how it's so easy to start off strong in January but then totally fall off the wagon a month or two later. But hey, no judgment - we've all been there!

Instead of resolutions, we talk about setting more intentional goals throughout the year. Things like spending more quality family time together, being more present, and less glued to our phones and tablets. We share some ideas for getting the whole family involved in goal-setting in a fun, engaging way.

We also get real about our own goals and challenges, like being content with where we're at in life, even when things don't go according to plan (like navigating the crazy housing market and interest rates!).

So grab a cozy drink, settle in, and join us for a laid-back, honest conversation about ditching New Year's resolutions and setting meaningful goals that work for you and your family. Let us know your own goals in the comments - we'd love to cheer you on!

  • Getting to Know Us

Oh hey there! It's me, Jessica, just hanging out and chatting away with my sister Samantha. You know, growing up together was quite the adventure, from our first clumsy encounters with technology – think bulky computers and the screech of dial-up internet – to navigating the rollercoaster of life, love, and starting our own families. It's been a wild ride, for sure.

But here's the thing, our journey didn't stop at family milestones. Nope, we've always had this knack for sharing our stories, our little quirks, and yes, our sometimes too-honest opinions about everything under the sun. And when we're not wrapped up in our sisterly banter, we're each diving into our hobbies, trying to snatch a moment of peace in our otherwise chaotic lives.

Movies, oh we've got to talk about movies! We've got these favorites that just somehow speak to our souls, you know? It's like watching them gives us a glimpse into alternate universes where we're the leading ladies, facing life with the same zest and sometimes, the same clumsiness.

This whole chat we just had? It's like the appetizer to the feast of stories we've got lined up. It's just a taste of the laughter, the tears, and the outright ridiculousness that's made up our lives. So, stick around, because we're just getting started and trust me, you don't want to miss what's coming next!

    Hope you enjoyed this episode!
