Some parts of emerging Europe are once again opening up to international tourists, while others - including some countries which have been successful in fighting Covid-19 - have delayed reopening for fear of reigniting the pandemic.

Few industries in the region have been as seriously impacted as tourism, more so even than in the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the global financial crisis of a decade ago. What will the post-coronavirus travel and tourism industry look like? How will services change and what can the industry across emerging Europe do to embrace these changes and new trends?
