We started this series with this statement: "Your life is God’s window of opportunity. But what opportunity does God have to express himself through you if your window is closed?"
Throughout this series, our focus has been on our identity being found in Christ. Remember when Jesus asked "who do men say that I am?" And then he asked his disciples who do they say he is? And Peter responded - You are the Christ. Jesus responded with Peters identity. He identified Peter as a rock (small rock). That lets me know that our identity is found in Jesus. If we don’t allow Christ to define our identity, we will look to others or allow what we do to define us. But we are defined in Jesus! We must understand that we are simply worthy because God said so
Have you been sitting on your gift? Have you been waiting for someone to identify and validate your gift before you accept it? When God calls you, he IMMEDIATELY confirms the gift He placed in you! You don't need someone to validate what God has already confirmed. It's time to stir up the gift on the inside of you. Let's dive in!
Whatever seems to be impossible is only an impossibility because you are relying on your own ability to get it done. Nothing is impossible to him who believes. And knowing that ALL things are possible through Christ, what's stopping you? Let's dive in!
What does it mean to restore to factory settings? Simply put, each of us have been "recalled" back to our "new" factory condition. This condition is our new condition in Christ. We have been made new creations in Christ, and its time that we become familiar with the "new" us. Let's dive in!
What happened in the garden of Eden was the beginning of mankind trying to be like God without God. But who told you that you can be like God without God? Where did you get that from? We love being in the know, and some of us love being "know-it-alls", but thirsting for knowledge without checking the source can lead you down the wrong path. Let's dive in!
"Being consumed by what people think of you is the fastest way to forget what God thinks of you." — Craig Groeschel
When someone asks, “who are you?” we typically respond with what we do. We sometimes associate what we do with who we are insomuch that if we aren’t “doing something”, we find ourselves asking, “who am I?” But our identity isn’t defined by what we do. Our identity is defined by God.
But when we don’t allow Christ to define our identity, we will look to others or what we do to define us. Let's dive in to the message.
"You must unlearn what you have learned" - Yoda // Are we walking true to whom God called us to be? Or are we choosing to disguise/cover up our calling because we would rather be accepted? We long for acceptance, but God has promised to perfect us. We must #UnBecome! And in order to UnBecome, we must UNLEARN what we have learned. We must renew our minds to our true identity. Let's dive in to this message!
New Series...Same Jesus! Thank you for tuning into the start of our new series, #UnBecome. We are always focused on becoming greater. Or becoming stronger. But what if the Bible is true in that we are a finished work. That we are new creations in Christ? Then maybe we need to Un-Become what isn’t Jesus to begin to walk in our true identity...the righteousness of God. We aren’t trying to become right, we are already made right. We aren’t trying to become healed, we were already healed. What if we stopped trying to add-to what God created, and started to embrace who He created us to be. The only becoming that matters is becoming more like Christ. And even that is a matter of belief. Do you really believe that we are made new and that it is already finished? Or is it something we have to work towards? Let's dive in to this message!
This series is intended to awaken the desire to pursue God as once before. To encounter Jesus and walk in a reality of who He is everyday of our lives. To no longer have to fantasize on what God is like, but to Know Him for ourselves. When we delight ourselves in God, He doesn't just give us the desires of our heart...He gives our hearts a new desire. #SHiFT
Our #FirstLove series has been life-changing and we expect part 4 to go to another level. God is calling each of us to return back to our #FirstLove...back to the one who loved us first...Jesus. In part 4 of #FirstLove, Pastor Bakah shares how one look from Jesus changes everything. Tune in. #SHiFT
