Lets talk about Vlogging gear. In this video we are going to go over the 3 different cameras I use for vlogging and specifically which ones I use for what.

BUT....

I didn't start off with that camera,

I actually started off vlogging with my iPhone. The iPhone is great when you are starting out its always with you and the iPhones now days shoot in 4k. I still use my iPhone today for a couple different things. I use it when I don't have my vlog camera with me, for time-lapse videos and for slow motion videos. The biggest draw backs to using the iPhone is the dynamic range of the camera and the audio with the phone.

I actually switched from the iPhone to the Cannon G7X Mark ii first which was great for vlogging but... It doesn't have an audio input jack on the camera still resulting in not so great audio. I came up with a work around for the audio by using the Zoom H1n. Which has great audio out put, but then you have 2 separate files that you have to stitch together every time you edit a video. My newest edition to my vlogging gear is the DJI Mavic Mini 2! The Mini 2 is a great drone to have if you are traveling and are limited on space or just need something simple to get those establishing shots in your videos. The mini 2 has several features that make it great. Droney, which the drone zooms away from you, the Circle fly where it flies around a point that you select on the screen, and the fly in a path mode where you can outline a path for the drone to fly in. Basically an NFT is like having an original version of a pice of art work except in digital form. Recently someone made $63 million from an NFT collection that they sold. NFT's are becoming increasingly more popular. Its a good way for an artist to sell digital versions of their art work and make some money. NFT's can be anything from pictures, too videos.

In this video I go over what an NFT is and if you can make money from them.

A whale "large investor" has been selling off his dogecoin to lower his cost per coin just so happens that the day he started doing this was on April 20th which is Doge Day. By selling his shares he scared a lot of the new investors which is why doge continued to drop. And when he started buying back in, the new investors stayed out.

Crypto.com released an email basically putting out a drawing saying if you buy 100 dogecoins on the crypto.com site they will enter you in the drawing to give you 100,000 dogecoins and an opportunity to win a Dogecoin NFT.

I think Dogecoin has the potential to go back up over the next month. I believe that we will see .40$ per dogecoin again.

Find your niche and researching it

Finding your niche is the most important thing you can do for your channel.

Finding your niche enables you to do research on the right topic, and stay consistent in your videos.

Niche is essentially an overall topic on what your channel is going to be about.

Ex. Gaming, DIY projects, Cars, Fashion etcetera.

You want to pick a niche that you know a lot about, something you can be an expert on. The reason for this is because even if you don’t think you are an expert, the people watching your videos see you as an authority figure on your topic. Naturally you are in this role by default because people are tuning in to your channel for the value that you provide. Even if its only entertainment value.

Once you have chosen a topic for your channel, before you create your channel its important to start doing research on your niche. By that I mean research about your niche on YouTube and pay attention to its market.

You want to make sure that you have a unique niche but, not so unique that no one is looking for it. You want to make sure you have an audience to watch your videos.

Researching your niche on YouTube, instagram, reddit and even TikTok now days will help you get an understanding if your niche is something people are looking for.

Now that you’ve established hopefully what your niche is you need to get ready to create your channel. For this I recommend you head over to my channel design video and follow the steps in that video so you can be sure to set your channel up for success.

What video editing software do you use to edit your videos?

In this video I compare Final Cut Pro and Camtasia. We go through the pros and cons of each software.

I determine that there are certain aspects of each one that I think can be used. Final Cut Pro is more of an editing software that you would use if you are looking to make some major edits to your videos. Camtasia is geared more towards ease of use.

Some of the more advanced features in Final Cut Pro will benefit certain styles of videos for sure.

On the other hand if you are just starting out and want a good software that is easy to use I highly recommend using Camtasia by Tech Smith given the learning curve for it is a lot less steep.

All in all what style of videos you are creating will have a big impact on which software will suite your needs.
