Welcome to the Shift with Intention podcast with today's guest Jennifer Bardot, the publisher and author of Growth - Deconstructing GRIT Collection and Owning Your G.R.I.T. She shares the internal shift that prompted her to finally write her book and her realization that this is the best opportunity to tell the stories of other wonderful women too.
She explores the joy of helping other people live their best lives and the way her anthology brought together women of diverse backgrounds. Jennifer also recalls her mother's strength and how she would like to emulate this same strength in her community.
HIGHLIGHT QUOTES
Staying the course through the difficulties of publishing a book - Jennifer: "Nothing ever goes as planned. Something's going to pop up. Something's going to try to derail you but you need to stay true to who you are. And we talked about this during Growth. You got to stay true to who you are and why you're truly there."
Be the person you needed during your darkest time: Jennifer: "Opportunities that should be on my plate aren't there because I am a woman. Doesn't matter how many designations I get, or how many relationships I have in this community, that opportunity will never exist because I am a woman. And I think that is why I choose to do these professional developments in women."

Welcome to the Shift with Intention podcast with today's guest Matt Orzech, a divorce recovery specialist who is uniquely qualified as a self-help addict, real estate junkie, and recovering divorce attorney.
Matt shares the sheer difficulty of living through a divorce and his own self-awareness of the breakthroughs that he experienced. He talks about the self-work that he needed to do, as well as the central role of God in helping him survive the trials and tribulations of this difficult time.
He looks back on the things that he had been blind to in his former relationship and emphasizes the importance of breathing and staying present during tough times. He shares what he learned about triggers and how the thought that precedes the emotion is what causes suffering, not the trigger itself.
HIGHLIGHT QUOTES
A trigger will cause a thought that causes an emotion - Matt: "Our thoughts, the thought is what really creates the emotion, and the trigger... and the trigger's the trigger and then there's a thought that makes it the bad thing. Like I said, the purple eyes thing. Also, and then there's the thought that you go, God, there must be something wrong with my eyes that they look purple."
"There's something wrong with me. That's where the suffering comes from. It doesn't come from the kid or your friend whoever says whatever to you. The suffering truly comes from our own thought whatever that thing was."
Breathing creates space between you and your triggers - Matt: "I'm huge about breathing. Breathe. And deeply. Go watch videos on breathing and it doesn't have to be any focused breath work, whatever, great if you do, but just breathe because breath is what will help you create space from those triggers. So breathing is huge."
"And then I would say, I think number 2, remember the truth. And there are lots of truths but remember the truth, and the truth about you, the truth about life, the truth about what you do have that have had, who has been there, remind yourself of the truth."

Welcome to the Shift with Intention podcast with today's guest Whitney Wiser, an International Federation of BodyBuilding (IFBB) pro athlete, Olympian, and coach who is passionate about empowering confidence and strength among women.
Whitney gets vulnerable about a toxic relationship that ended up with her being run over by her ex and getting her spine crushed in the process. She shares the painful healing that she underwent, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, that really revealed to her who she truly was and what she wants out of a relationship.
Whitney leads with the understanding that a person's health and wellness in their physical body is a byproduct of the condition of their mind and spirit. She hosts events and coaches with the mission of helping women find their purpose, create a vision for their life, and live it out.
HIGHLIGHT QUOTES
Know yourself and the power within you to change you and your surroundings - Whitney: "One of the main staples that I coach on is your identity, defining your identity because the reason why most people choose toxic relationships is that they don't have their own identity. They don't know who they are and how powerful they are and how powerful their purpose is, or they would never compromise it. And that is the shift for me. So when I really, truly, not just knew who I was but just deeply understood what I was capable of and the people I was capable of helping, then I was never willing to compromise that at all."
Know your triggers and write down your prayers - Whitney: "I've learned to take cues on like if I'm feeling frustrated or overwhelmed or just like there's a tornado going on around me, then I know I'm not doing what I need to be doing for myself which is things that help me is just listening to audiobooks, podcasts, reading. Reading helps me so much. Devotionals. I like to write my prayers down instead of just praying because I get super distracted if I'm just in my head praying."

Welcome to the Shift with Intention podcast with today's guest JP Paul, the Chief Executive Officer at Archon Management Services who has been in the business ecosystem for 3 decades. He shares his inspiring journey to becoming a business coach and mentors through the guidance of his own mentors.
JP shares how he has run multiple businesses and helped his clients keep more by giving more. He also digs into the critical lessons he learned that have nothing to do with business, such as the fundamental areas of life which include fitness, faith, and family. He talks about how he regulates his mindset to bring himself where he wants to be mentally as well as emotionally.
HIGHLIGHT QUOTES
Learn to give to invite more success into your business - JP: "The top core value of my company is contribution. And so, I'm always encouraging my clients to give more, give more, give more. I'm going to show you how to keep more, and so you figure out how to give more, and give money to the people and causes you care about most. So that's where it came from. And so, for me, yeah, I still want to chase and grow and do all that, but it's from a space of then I'll be able to impact the lives of my children and the lives of my community in a much larger way. It's not about me anymore."
Associate your life with the emotions you want to feel - JP: "What are the emotions associated with your life that you're feeling currently? And it was right after my marriage, it was decided we're done. And so, it was sad, lonely, frustrated, disappointed, disheartened, fearful. You get where I'm getting at. All these emotions that we would generally consider negative emotions."
"And then, it said, when you think about your life in general overall and what it's going to be in the future, what are the emotions you associate with your life? Happy, joyful, abundant, loving, and it slapped me in the face and I went, if that's who I was before and that's how I'm going to be in the future, why don't I just be that guy right now? So whenever I'm feeling those emotions, I can just shift back and go no, that's not who you are."

Welcome to the Shift with Intention podcast with today's guest Darlyshia Menzie, a Missouri licensed realtor who helps buyers and sellers get moved locally and around the nation. Her goal is for families to create a legacy through real estate and empower others to take responsibility for their lives and live with purpose.
Darlyshia talks about how she used to be very sensitive and insecure and how this led to her being labeled as the black sheep or the outcast in college. She talks about how she took control of her life and her determination to embrace conflict, not that she sought it out, but that there is beauty, purpose, and life after conflict.
HIGHLIGHT QUOTES
Live your life out loud and not be fake about it - Darlyshia: "I think, for so many, when we go through hard times or we're grieving a loss or we're disappointed in something that is not going the way that we desire it to go, the automatic feeling is defeat. The automatic feeling is just overwhelming. We're super tired. We want to give up. I can't believe this is happening. Why is this happening to me? But I choose not to look at life and life's circumstances that way. I choose to say, okay, guy, here it is. What are you going to do with it?"
Conflict reveals who you truly are- Darlyshia: "I don't think you should be afraid of conflict because conflict reveals where you are. It reveals who you are. If you're afraid to deal with conflict, then you're saying I would rather stay the same. I would rather stay in this same position, being the same person that I am, having the same kinds of relationships, not ready to go anywhere further."

Welcome to the Shift with Intention podcast with today's guest Deepak Suthar, an angel investor, speaker, advisor, and entrepreneur in the sales technology and business optimization space, and one of the authors in Jaime's book Shift with Intention and Soar!
He shares how he took control over his life in his pursuit of meaning and how helping others contributes to his own growth. Aside from shifting his mindset, Deepak says that finding happiness starts with a healthy body, a process that made him eat healthier and quit drinking. He also discusses how to set clear and measurable goals as the first step to taking control of your life.
HIGHLIGHT QUOTES
You control your circumstances, not the other way around - Deepak: "Where you are right now, you have complete control over it. You are making conscious decisions to either stay on your current path or to understand hey, this is the path that everyone else takes, and I'm going to go this way. Just know that you have the ability to make a different decision, and maybe that decision will transform your life in a good way."
Be clear about your goals so you can measure them - Deepak: "The very first thing that you should do, you should figure out exactly what you want. What is it? And be extremely clear on what that is, whether it's a number, whether it's a milestone, whatever it is. Make it so measurable that you can tell it to a 4th grader and they would get it."

Welcome to the Shift with Intention podcast with today's guest Jill Kneemiller, a licensed professional counselor who strengthens her skills to consciously create the life she desires and deserves. Jill is one of the writers in Jaime's book Shift with Intention and Soar! and she discusses the power of manifesting through affirmations.
Mindcraft, Jill's chapter, is about a shift in thought and expectations while detaching yourself from the outcome. It is about speaking your affirmations and believing that they will manifest. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge to help others transform their lives too.
HIGHLIGHT QUOTES
Say your affirmation but detach yourself from the outcome - Jill: "You can't do something or say something and then look at your phone or go run out to the mailbox or whatever it is because it doesn't happen that way. You have to let go... you have to detach from what the outcome is."
Mindcraft is a shift of thoughts and beliefs - Jill: "It was mindcraft, crafting your mind, thinking something different than what you're used to thinking, and the game of belief because it's a game of believing that these things are going to present themselves in my life. And I believe it."
How to manifest your thoughts into reality - Jill: "Know exactly what you want your life to look like. If you woke up tomorrow and everything was exactly what you wanted it to be, what does that look like for you? So be very specific about what you want, and then when you ask the universe for it, be very specific about what it is that you want. Let go of limiting beliefs that you can't have it for whatever reason."

SHIFT GEARS TO GO FURTHER, FASTER, AND STRONGER
Welcome to the Shift with Intention podcast, a show of inspiring and life-changing stories, and what better way to start the season than getting to know our host, Jaime Zografos. Join Salescast Leader, Chris Decker, as he interviews Jaime about the show’s purpose and what to expect in the coming episodes.
HIGHLIGHTS:
QUOTES:
JAIME: Shift is going to happen, whether you like it or not
“We all shift all the time, and whether you want to shift or not, it's going to happen. So putting some intention behind that makes you shift the right way.”
JAIME: The intention behind “Shift with Intention”
“If someone's going through something and they explain how they shifted, some of our listeners will be able to try something that they did or reach out to them to get more help or understand that they're not alone, that there's light at the end of the tunnel, there's hope and create a community with all those people where people feel heard and understood and valued.”
JAIME: The key to shift is to surrender fully
“I fully surrendered to being here and didn't question anything. I made up a quote, I love it. It goes something like this, whenever I'm not sure about something, I say take for me what's not mine, give me what is, I won't ask any questions and I'll trust your judgment, and then you surrender to whatever that is if somebody leaves your life if somebody walks in, and that's helped me a lot.”
