Shifting From Chronos to Kairos Time: Work Less + Live More

Listen Later

There is this interesting thing humans do on a day-to-day basis. We run around like chickens with our heads cut off, thinking if we move quicker, we can get more things done, and maybe, just maybe, it'll feel like we gained more time in a day. We chase our "picture of the preferable future" in exchange for the abundance and joy of the present moment. Yet, we all know those people who wander down the same paths we do, seeking happiness in what they don't yet have, and well some of them didn't wake up today. Kairos is an ancient Greek word meaning the right or opportune moment. While Chronos refers to chronological or sequential time, Kairos signifies a period or season, a moment of indeterminate time in which an event of significance happens. How are you measuring time in your life?
