We are busy people who live in a fast-paced and dangerous world. How often do we rest? God has compassion on us and sees our burdens, worries, illness, and exhaustion. Jesus feels our pain. The presence and teaching of Jesus bring comfort.

The tabernacle is set up at Shiloh. Years later, God pitched God’s tent among us in Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace.

God is full of grace and desires to lavish upon us the riches of Christ. God chooses us before we even know him (prevenient grace). We are destined for adoption as children (justifying grace). And one day we will be gathered up together in the fullness of time (sanctifying and perfecting grace).

To be unclean, ritually impure, was a horrible stigma in ancient Israel. One was to avoid contact with the unclean. Jesus touches the unclean bringing life and wholeness.

In Matthew 25 Jesus tell 3 powerful stories to prepare us for the life that God is calling us to live, the life that the Bible refers when it tells us to ‘Run the Race”. The first story is about being ready, the second story is about investing in what God is doing and the third story is about what it looks like to win the race. So Shiloh is embarking on a strategy to meet people where they are and in the process, introduce them to the “Author of BETTER” – Jesus.
