Will God judge fairly those who never heard His law? Working through Romans 2:12–16, Dr. John Neufeld shows that God is perfectly impartial: everyone who sins is condemned, whether judged by Scripture, by creation, or by the law written on the heart and conscience. Hearing God’s Word only raises our accountability, and the right place to start is admitting we have no hope on our own.
The Heart of the Gospel: This 25-message series on Romans 1–4 presents us with Christianity 101. It is the basics of our faith, teaching us how we can know for certain that sins are forgiven and what it is to live by faith.

Jesus told the blind man, “Go and wash in the pool of Siloam,” which is translated, “sent.” Access to the pool of Siloam involved the descent of three sets of stone hewn steps, five steps each, no casual stroll for anyone, much less a blind man. But he did it, and he leaned over the edge of the pool and began to wash his eyes. And from one moment to the next, he could see.
The question is often asked, what does a person need to know to become a follower of Christ? This story provides an answer. The man knew nothing of the virgin birth or the beatitudes. He received sight, not because he deserved it, earned it or found it. He received sight because he trusted and obeyed the one who was sent to open eyes that are blind.

Season 3, Episode 18
In this Reformation Day special, Michael and Zach look past the polished version of Martin Luther to the complicated man himself. They begin by examining several popular Luther myths, including the famous hammer at the church door, “Here I stand,” the first German Bible, the Apocrypha, “faith alone,” and even the Christian shoemaker quote he probably never said. The discussion then turns to the far more serious problem of Luther’s later anti-Jewish writings, tracing the sharp change from his relatively sympathetic 1523 posture to the vicious recommendations of 1543 and asking how Christians should reckon honestly with a deeply flawed reformer. From there, the episode returns to the heart of the Reformation: justification by faith. Luther’s own struggles with guilt, despair, illness, and Anfechtung become a reminder that the gospel does not rest on the moral record of its messengers. The episode closes by connecting justification, assurance, and vocation to ordinary Christian life.
