Ready to build your art, life, and business with God? Join the Thriving Christian Artist Pathway: https://www.matttommeymentoring.com/pathway
If God called you to be an artist, why isn’t your art selling?
When sales slow down, shows don’t work out, commissions fall through, or nothing seems to be happening, it’s easy to start questioning everything: your talent, your calling, your ability to hear God—even whether you were really supposed to be doing this in the first place.
I’ve been a professional artist for over 30 years, and I’ve walked through plenty of those seasons myself.
In this video, I want to help you separate what’s happening in your art business from who you are in Christ and who God has called you to be.
We’ll talk about why difficult seasons should draw you toward God rather than away from Him, why your identity and calling can’t be measured by your latest sales results, and why sometimes the answer isn’t more prayer or more striving—it’s asking some honest stewardship questions about your art and business.
Maybe your pricing needs work. Maybe you’re showing your art in the wrong places. Maybe your creative voice still needs development. Maybe the presentation, quality, story, or connection with your ideal buyer needs attention.
Those are real issues—but none of them determine whether God loves you or whether He created you to be an artist.
Your current circumstances are information. They are not your identity.
And if you’ve been trying to figure all this out alone—jumping from video to video, strategy to strategy, wondering what you’re missing—that’s exactly why I created the Thriving Christian Artist Pathway and Coaching Community: to help Christian artists align with God, create with Him, connect authentically with the right people, and build a thriving creative life and business from a Kingdom perspective.
As the old saying goes: Never doubt in the dark what God told you in the light.
If your art isn’t selling right now, tell me in the comments what you’re walking through. What part of this video spoke most directly to you?
And remember—you were created to thrive.

Who should be baptized, and why does it matter? Skye and Kaitlyn unpack the debate between infant baptism and believer's baptism, looking at the biblical arguments, church history, and the different ways Christian traditions understand what baptism actually means. They also explore how our views of baptism connect to bigger questions about salvation, communion, and what it means to belong to the church.
