Ever have a conflict of the wills between you and your child? Let’s face it: it’s easy to give kids mixed messages. We want to be consistent, but we aren’t. We say we’re going to do what we’ve planned to do, and then we don’t. To learn to be consistent, listen to these four essentials to training up your children.
Karen DeArmond Gardner describes her 30-year abusive marriage — living with a man who was charming and overly affectionate at first but soon became a nightmare to live with. Karen explains the majority of domestic abuse is not physical; abusers also use insults, threats, control, manipulation, and other forms of emotional intimidation. Finally, after reading a Christian magazine about abuse, Karen recognized the trauma she had been accepting as “normal” and escaped her husband. Today she counsels other women who’ve experienced abuse.

Our quest to manage life by taming thoughts would fail the test of relevancy if we did not discuss lust. To lust is to crave what does not belong to you. Lust and love are not synonyms. Romance is healthy. God wired you to connect deeply, enjoyably, and nakedly to a person of the opposite sex under the canopy of marriage. Ever since Adam saw Eve, the power of sexual attraction has been part of life. God gave sex as a gift—a wedding gift.
“Enjoy the wife you married as a young man! Lovely as an angel, beautiful as a rose—don’t ever quit taking delight in her body. Never take her love for granted!” (Proverbs 5:19 MSG). Delight in each other!

Is the very idea of God enough to prove that God exists?
In this episode, Zach and Michael unpack one of the most famous—and most misunderstood—arguments in philosophy: the Ontological Argument. From Anselm’s “that than which nothing greater can be conceived,” to Descartes, Leibniz, Kant, and Alvin Plantinga’s modern modal version, they trace how the debate evolved over nearly a thousand years.
Covered in this episode:
– Why some concepts logically entail others (valley–mountain, shadow–light)
– Anselm’s original argument and the “greatest conceivable being”
– Kant’s critique that “existence is not a predicate”
– Plantinga’s modal argument: if God is possible, God is actual
– Atheist counterarguments and why they must deny God’s possibility itself
– Modern developments from Pruss & Rasmussen
The Ontological Argument remains as bold as ever—an exercise in pure reason that asks whether logic itself points to God.

Why does Paul say not to associate with certain people who call themselves believers but engage in immorality? My boyfriend is demanding we have premarital sex when the wedding isn’t far off. Is this a red flag? What are your thoughts on the rapture and when it will happen?
